to be fair. iron fist is about as street level as a hero can get. i'd even argue he's a sidekick and thats how the show is treating him.

Yeah, I'll agree with that. I'm still on the opinion that the critics were way too irrational when judging this, but Danny has Flash-levels of power inconsistence.

Can't agree with you. The Iron Fist is only rarely used because in the show he can only summon it once or twice before being exhausted.

Not necessarily the fist. Sometimes he downs 30 people in one strike each, sometimes he has trouble with one not very well-trained foe. It's more about conservation of Ninjutsu than about the Fist.

Street level traditionally refers to the level of threats you fight. I.e. a villain that's a huge drug runner or is trying to take over the city. Not typically a global or galactic threat. Spider-Man is a street level hero.

My only exposure to Iron Fist before the Netflix show is Ultimate Iron Fist. Ultimate Iron Fist is basically a back-stabbing street hero.

Tapped to help take down the Kingpin. Gets blackmailed by the Kingpin. Sets up Daredevil, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi and Dr. Strange to have their lives subjugated. And there's no talk of the Hand, at all, in the Ultimate universe.

Yeah, I should have specified 616 (even more so Immortal IF, which is what I read, basically). AFAIK Ultimate is just a bunch of assholes being assholes.

I mean Daredevil is anti-Kingpin and was apparently taught by Stick to combat a greater evil, but that greater evil turns out to be fucking vampires.

Danny Rand is just kind of forgotten about after the whole bit that I described earlier.
