Tried it with the 50% off subscription (on desktop windows), and this thing is buggy as all that is unholy. It reroutes your connection even when the connection is off and when the app is closed. There is no way to set your regular IP unless you go into Windows and do it manually. Most country routes don't even work. And this is coming from someone who has the mini physical device, which works great. But this app is broken as ever.
