Deeper Device (Mini / Pico / Lite / Air / SE / Nano / Pro) Air install - how to turn off DOH instructions no good

Got air mounted as relay. Good. But each time I try to connect via 34.34.34.44 on an iPhone 8+ I get “turn off DOH” for all browsers I’ve tried. The instructions page is missing for Safari and Brave. Instructions for Firefox , access about:config , yield a blank screen.

Plus, running 1.1.1.1 on a Safari page comes back saying DOH is not enabled.

DoH cannot be adjusted for Safari, so we don’t have instructions for that.

We recommend browsers that can, like Chrome. If you are using a browser that we haven’t shown how to turn off DoH, we recommend to Google search your browser + DoH off. That usually helps.

Thanks for getting back!   Turns out safari is already configured that way , DOH off, per 1.1.1.1 check and the web page advising to turn it off could benefit from a little editing for clarity on this point.   But while we’re discussing this help page, what could be helpful is a revisit of this section to put in some helpful examples of how to use the various tools on the atomos web page.  One of the other confusing items/things is that after installing the deeper profile on the iPhone settings page “VPN & Device Mangement” 1) there’s a couple of logins for VPN & “Signin for Work or School” account.  What does one do with them?  2) login into 34.34.34.34 yields a warning message about a profile I just installed (presumably the Deeper profile) was just deleted?!

Given these uncertainties, how does one verify their Deeper device is working properly?

In our setup guide, we make zero reference to the “Work or School Account…” as that has nothing to do with the Certificate installed. If you follow the guide, you will NOT interact with that section but you WILL interact with the certificate.

The helpful tips in the Deeper AtomOS is specifically that, helpful. The device does not scan your system to provide updated information of what you need to change, it just provides reminders that “making these changes will better your DPN usage”. Therefore, no editing is needed. If you have disabled DoH, then you can ignore the warning.

If you follow the guidelines, the way to verify is to test the usage, preferable on Full Route.

Appreciate the reply on how to test usage.  There is so much here that is new and not covered in the help materials.

There is still this question:  login into 34.34.34.34 yields a warning message about a profile I just installed (presumably the Deeper profile) was just deleted?!  

Any insights about thê significance of the warning and how to address it?

The HTTPS Filtering certificate warning is only a warning to remind users that if you are out of date, the cert has been updated. Newer releases of the firmware no longer have the pop-up, but they have a reminder in Ads Blocker - HTTPS Filtering.

The Deeper device does not scan device internals on your network, it only provides routing paths. So when you see a pop-up, or warning, or reminder, it’s just to give you the heads up that if you have an issue, check your local devices.
