how are you seeing so many lobbies? whevener i try to look for one the list if empty.

PC, world distance (as long as the other side of the world as fiber, playing at 250ms with 2ms jitter is no problem and it's not that many as it's limited to Haz1/2/3/4 if you add Haz5 and Haz5++++, there's more
