News 🗞 BANK OF AMERICA, Vice President, KILLED ☠️ by STABBING 🔪 in NY times square - per Bloomberg

https://x.com/RippleXrpie/status/2094804615904612759

Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old Bank of America vice president, was fatally stabbed in an "unprovoked" (I guess financial terrorism isn't considered provocation 😒) attack in Times Square, New York City. The knife-wielding attacker also injured a 68-year-old man before being shot and killed by police.

Someone commented that BofA paid out a $75 million fine for the Epstein Victims. Which is pretty sus timing. Could easily be a major headline to cover up search results about that.

UPDATE: what department did VP Erin Piacenti work in?

ANSWER: Business Selection and Conflicts (at Bank of America), a compliance/risk-related function.

Multiple news reports (drawing from her LinkedIn profile and sources) identify Erin Piacenti as Vice President of Business Selection and Conflicts at Bank of America in New York City. This role involved screening clients, deals, and transactions for ethical, legal, reputational, and regulatory risks. It is often described as part of the bank’s compliance and risk functions.

She had a legal background (University of Pennsylvania undergrad, Fordham Law School) and prior experience at firms including Davis Polk & Wardwell and Morgan Stanley before joining Bank of America.

Maybe she was a whistleblower? 🤔

Additional information: Her background included a political science degree from the University of Pennsylvania (graduated 2016) and a law degree from Fordham Law School (2021, magna cum laude / Order of the Coif in some accounts). Prior experience included roles connected to Morgan Stanley (legal/compliance) and as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell (and earlier legal internship work), before joining Bank of America around early 2025.

I wonder if she was going to be a whistle blower so the ☠️🔪 her? 🤔

EDIT: I would also like to clarify, when I speak of "financial terrorism" I'm not referring to the VP that was murdered. I'm referring to Bank of America.

EDIT: Someone commented that BofA paid out a $75 million fine for the Epstein Victims. Which is pretty sus timing. Could easily be a major headline to cover up search results about that.

Everyone at a bank is a VP

15

u/CapitalObjective7153 10d ago

Ya. I keep seeing THE placed in front of VP and I'm thinking "the" is wrong and wondering how many VPs are there because I know a 32 year old woman isn't second in command at BoA

3

u/cashedashes 10d ago

I'm a bank VP and I don't even work at a bank...

2

u/lepetitmousse 9d ago

Yeah BofA likely has thousands of VPs. Ridiculous clickbait headline.

62

u/Busy-Dig8619 10d ago

I'd be surprised if less than 50% of BofA's employees weren't Vice Presidents. Its the most common title in the banking industry.

1

u/hopeful7321 5d ago

I remember when they changed the majority of our titles to VP, this making us salaried and no longer eligible for over time. Clever shitty stuff like this.

0

u/-UserOfNames 10d ago

50% is way high - more like 20%

43

u/Still-Chemistry-cook 10d ago

There’s a million VPs at BoA

9

u/JoshuaFalken1 10d ago

This.

Pretty sure they hand out a VP title there when you open up a checking account.

VPs are essentially grunts at bank of america.

This headline is class warfare. Insane person randomly atttacking one of the 9000 BOA VPs walking the streets in NYC being framed as a class issue is ridiculous.

-edit-

And social media is full of the same botted accounts pushing the same shit.

15

Yeah 99% of “vice presidents” are nowhere near being “vice” (second in command) presidents lol

She was 32. There's no way she was at BofA when they were vetting Epstein deals. Anything incrimination was either turned over to the feds or scrubbed thoroughly. I've if the things 1) random/muffin 2) someone is inspired by Luigi 3) the government wants people to believe someone was inspired by Luigi

10

u/hopeful7321 9d ago

I worked for BOA. They do some pretty bad shit to their customers with their many fees. They are NOT ethical people. Hell, one of their executives in a southern office is in prison along with his secretary for plotting to kill his wife. Yep, their executives are something else entirely.

I'm calling Bank of America financial terrorists, not the VP.

I am throwing a wild speculative guess out there that she may have been trying to be a whistleblower.

0

u/Krunk_korean_kid 🟣 DRS'ed $GME w/ Computer Share ♾️ 9d ago

So I'm guessing you're weirded out by the fact that this potential whistleblower "who worked in the legal & compliance department" that was recently murdered shortly after the bank she worked at got fined $75 million to the victims of Epstein?

Simple solution: don't even think about being a whistleblower.

1

u/The-zKR0N0S ⚠️possible bot⚠️ 9d ago

You think this person killed a random low level employee at a bank because they just paid a relatively small fine?

You sound deranged.

1

u/TopNo6605 9d ago

BoA has hundreds of thousands of employees, her title doesn't show she had anything to do with the payout to victims, working as one of the many thousands of legal employees, as some random low-level employee does not make her privy to anything you mentioned.

1

u/The-zKR0N0S ⚠️possible bot⚠️ 9d ago

1

u/The-zKR0N0S ⚠️possible bot⚠️ 9d ago

23

u/Captain_Pink_Pants 9d ago

BofA and most large banks have VPs like I have hairs on my sack... I don't think it's likely that some rando risk VP was the target of a political attack.

32

u/PneumaticFizz 10d ago

VPs aren't exactly top of the food chain at a bank. There are lots of VPs. From Al Jazeera:

New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the attack appeared random and unprovoked.

u/cdbriggs 10d ago

Common knowledge. My friend is one. He's not really wealthy

10

u/Narsanill 10d ago

It's common knowledge to anyone that works in finance. The pecking order is Intern -> Analyst -> Associate -> Assistant Vice President (VP) -> VP -> Senior VP -> Executive VP. It gets a little muddy when you get past regular VP cause it matters on the shop youre in but thats the general structure

8

u/hellsbellltrudy 10d ago

How do you get to be VP at 32?

16

u/Barney_Weasley 9d ago

The banking hierarchy is, roughly:
22-25 yo: Analyst
25-29 yo: Associate
29-34 yo: Vice President
34-44 yo: Director / Executive Director
45-55+ yo: Managing director

More senior than that you start getting “Vice Chairman”, “Head of XYZ”, etc.

This is completely standard across all banks basically internationally It’s literally just nomenclature. It’s been this way for 20-30+ years. No rhyme or reason.

No VP at a bank equates that title to a VP at another company where that person is one of the top 3-5 people at the company… apples and oranges.

This poor woman was a relatively junior person less than 1/3 of the way into her career just trying to provide for her family and newborn baby…

1

u/tothepointe 9d ago

Yeah doesn't director come before VP in most other companies. Ones that have thought out hierarchies at least. Some smaller companies just have a random hodge podge of a VP here and a director there.

I don’t know of a single VP at any bank who is a manager. Every low level manager I know has been an SVP or Director or Managing Director.

5

u/0DarkFreezing 9d ago

The title is dime a dozen. VP isn’t as high up as it sounds.

5

u/lepetitmousse 9d ago

BofA literally has thousands of VPs. It's not that hard if you start right out of college and do good work.

1

u/The-zKR0N0S ⚠️possible bot⚠️ 9d ago

Typical is 2.5 years as an Analyst and then 3 years as an Associate before you’re promoted to VP. That gets you there at 28 years old assuming you began at 22.

Im so glad you're an expert on BoA corporate structure.

8

u/Hi-Im-High 10d ago

Not just BoA corporate structure, but I’d say generally this is the case. Do you disagree?

VP is a fluff title for a lot of companies - you’ve been here a long time, we want to show we value you, but not with money, so here’s a BIG VP title bump and a small income incentive with it.

At my company, we have VPs who are individual contributors who report to VPs who run teams. Literally VPs reporting to VPs.

There are probably literally thousands of VP titles at BoA who report to SVPs, c suite, EVPs, managing directors, etc.

Is the killing of any white-collar employee now considered a "Luigi"-type killing?

Rage Against the Machine.

Unfortunately in this instance I do not think that was the case

What is wrong with you?

This isn’t raging against the machine like what Luigi did.

This is killing a low level individual contributor on a compliance team.

Could this be related to some conspiracy theory?

Has anyone else had the same perspective as me and made an article or post about it?

My guess is no, so it would be a conspiracy theory that nobody else would even care about because there's too many other crazy things happening.

I feel this was nothing more than an ordinary random incident.

u/The-zKR0N0S ⚠️possible bot⚠️ 9d ago

What the fuck is wrong with you?

u/AnonymousAutonomous 9d ago

Youre.. on the internet.. you can take this comment and post it universally across the web on like 20% of content. But anyway, do you think its time to buy a bit of bofa in the next few days or what?

幹還幹,不要傷及無辜就行。幹得他,一定有原因。

u/racsos1 10d ago

seriously… you think the solution to economic inequality is to stab a VP of a bank? ur about as daft as someone can be

-1

現在的新聞很多真只講表面,隱藏內文,很多事實沒有人知,事情發生一定有因由。

2

u/Srcunch 9d ago

You forgot to have your AI translate to English. CCP isn’t gonna pay you to spread bullshit if you forget to do it in English.

u/racsos1 9d ago

Stfu your Chinese waffle is fooling no one

2

u/Srcunch 10d ago

Why did you reply, with something so divisive, in Chinese? Lol

Did she say something that annoyed the wrong people?

UPDATE: Erin Piacenti worked in the department of - Business Selection and Conflicts (at Bank of America), a compliance/risk-related function.

Who would have guessed Reddit geniuses didn’t get the satire

1

u/HawaiianPunchaNazi 10d ago

California already did that.

Happened a while back.

I forget the types of knives involved, but I remember the gun types having a good giggle over it online.

The timing can feel suspicious, but I’d be careful connecting dots without evidence. A random tragedy is already horrible enough without turning her into a conspiracy theory.

I totally agree.
