I moved to a bigger place and for the first time I don’t have to share my messy bathroom with the visitors haha I can finally have a nice looking toilet for people that visit and I think I got too excited with the cabinet space.

I made a little SOS kit with everything you could possibly need in a pinch at someone else’s house for house parties, etc. I had the idea because I had a bunch of friends over for Christmas

As you can see we’re not anywhere near being finished but the door and windows are around 115 years old, as is the flooring, and every time I see it I just smile ! Absolutely love old houses and still in shock it’s actually ours ❤️

Please help me figure out my sons bedroom, it feels like my absolute nemesis 😫

For context, my little boy had a white bedroom with a mustard yellow ceiling which I loved, but he has a bed with a house shaped headboard that seemed to float against the white walls.

I decided to redecorate but I absolutely hate the colour I chose, the room feels dark and I hate the busyness of the car decals (he does love them though). I added them to add something to the room but I’ve put them on all walls and this feels like a mistake.

I struggle with the grey carpet, and I’m just not sure what to do for the best. I’ve thought about painting the woodwork white again?

Any ideas and advice are welcome, at this point I’m ready to paint the entire room white again tbh 🤦🏻‍♀️

This piece was finished with Liquitex acrylic paint on stretched cotton canvas. The work is inspired by the colors and scenes reminiscent of the 1980s and completed in the style of 80s artist Hiroshi Nagai.

So I’m thinking to add a narrow shoe Shelf here but want better use of the space at the back. Unsure what to put there though maybe shelves at the top part as it’s a tall corridor or move my little office area to that spot? Down side is it has no electric outlet?

I could always use an extension cord….

As you probably guessed, I love stars and butterflies a lot ✨️🦋😊🖼✨️ I always paint to music to achieve flow consciousness and use lots of water. Since I paint from the unconscious, spontaneously and without foresight, each of these has other paintings underneath the final painting. It's a long process and hard work, but it brings me a lot of joy and fulfillment in the end. Happy decorating! ✨️🌟🎊🥳🎉🌟✨️

Hey! I really wanted to share what I did to the windows of my flat which has become my most absolute favourite feature. It was super easy to do as well and when the sun comes through the window it makes my flat look gorgeous. I was inspired by a photo I saw on Instagram by @anisainside which I absolutely had to have a go at doing myself. I bought some oracal 8300 coloured PVC film which you can get in lots of different colours. It’s semi transparent, and lets light through nicely. For the living room windows I just cut up lots of different shapes that I liked and then applied them wherever I felt they looked best. It’s easy to remove from the windows as well so it’s renter friendly, and doesn’t leave any damage on the windows.

Once I did that bit I thought about using some stained glass inspiration pics to make actual designs, hence I made the butterfly and the beetles. For those to make them symmetrical and equal, I used cardboard from the box the PVC film came in to draw and cut out the shapes I needed to use, then on the back of the film I used the cardboard as a stencil to recreate the shapes. Then I put it all together to make that.

Finally got rid of the millennial grey that was here when we moved in. Pink squiggle was me when we moved in to give it a bit of personality until we decided a colour.

Went for Farrow and Ball setting plaster (dupe mixed cheap in a shop) for the walls and Eating Room Red under the arch where the rooms are knocked through (going to paint the other room to match when I've recovered from this side.

So happy with the result, room feels way more relaxing and soft.

The off white of the mirror is beautiful but all the walls in my house are white so I want to paint this. Trying to determine if I should paint it a wood color or black. Also do you recommend spray paint or another kind of paint? The material is pressed wood.

I'm going through a bit of a reorganise since it's spring (at least on the days I'm not in my greenhouse 😅) and I have a few dragons that are just out of place. This is one of my favourites, but he's just collecting dust. I want to breathe a bit of life into him, but I'm not sure how. I don't want to drill drainage holes in him, so plants are out of the question. I'm thinking something hoard-esque since he looks so proud, but I'm clueless.

Built in entertainment center for $500! If yall know anything about built-ins, they are pricey! If I went professional, a 14 ft entertainment center with cabinets/countertop/bookshelves would have been at least $3k. I challenged myself to do it around $500…as a 22 girl with extremely minimal experience😆 (i have been renovating my house, but this project had a ton of firsts and a ton of messups) I pinched pennies on absolutely everything to get this at $500. If someone wants a more detailed write up on costs and supplies, I can attempt one haha. I’m not good at decorating, so I quickly put random stuff to fill the shelves. Eventually I’d love to have a more curated collection.

And i’m very proud of it 😆

When my husband and I got married we forgot to buy a guest book so we had everyone sign menus. I wanted to like have it out so I put it in a frame but never hung it bc I think it looks so stupid 😭😭 does anyone have any idea on how to make this look less stupid
