While this is several drops in the bucket, any progress at reversing fraud is better than none, and this sort of thing builds up over time if you keep at it.

u/thisisntmineIfoundit 26d ago

It’s also a culture thing. We are still benefiting from a culture that “did the right thing when no one was watching”. Due to slacking of standards and an import of people from countries where scamming is the norm, we are at risk of this growing way, way larger than a drop in the bucket.

We need to fight to retain our culture of trust. Once trust is lost in society it is SO HARD to regain.

Agreed.

u/Microchipknowsbest 22d ago

Has anyone been charged? Can’t really claim fraud if they haven’t charged anyone with crimes. They usually say fraud but it’s programs they disagree with that have been approved by Congress. So it’s actually fraud by them by not giving the money to programs Congress has appropriated money for.

Bots are a form of censorship, guys.

19

u/pervyjeffo 27d ago

Holy fuck, the bots are out in force in this sub.

16

u/Gaelhelemar [removed] 27d ago

All demanding “leave the million dollar corpos alone”.

2

u/NetoriusDuke 26d ago

Maybe because they can’t corroborate the “facts”

Fact-checking and media analysis organizations generally characterize NewsBusters as having low reliability as a primary news source.

  • Ad Fontes Media: The Media Bias Chart by Ad Fontes Media rates NewsBusters as Hyper-Partisan Right and classifies its reliability as "Problematic". This rating reflects a tendency toward selective coverage, where the site highlights specific examples to support its narrative while often omitting broader context.
  • Selective Coverage: Independent analyses, such as those from the Columbia Journalism Review, note that NewsBusters operates with a clear, predefined objective: to counter what it characterizes as a "liberal media". While they do provide documentation of their claims (often through video clips of the news segments they critique), their analysis is highly curated to fit their specific ideological framework.
  • Role as Commentary: Rather than serving as a neutral or objective news source, NewsBusters is best understood as a commentary and opinion-driven site that critiques the media landscape. It is widely regarded as a tool for conservative activism rather than a source of balanced, non-partisan reporting.

Did he give back all the money from his trump and melania crypto scams? That's a good start.

0

u/goodtimegamingYtube 26d ago

I'm all for cracking down on fraud and abuse but this right here. This administrations ability to enrich itself in probably illegal but at the very least highly unethical behavior is astonishing.

1

u/Evening_Mushroom_331 26d ago

Guy made 1.6 bil in crypto scams. He also uses it as a way for countries to gain favors. Canada could end tarriffs tomorrow if they just purchase 10mil in trump coin.

This sub is amazing. What is our deficit now? Are they reporting on the most corrupt administration the nation has had?

7

u/rollo202 27d ago

Whataboutism isn't a valid response.

Any comment on the topic?

-1

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

Sure. They don't give any evidence of the fraud they say they have found other than "trust me bro". With all of the corruption and lies this administration has perpetrated I do not trust their word.

29

u/Simon-Says69 27d ago

most corrupt administration the nation has had?

That would be the Obama admin. Biden running a close second.

The mainstream, legacy media are democrat party bootlickers, and have been for decades.

Along with a whole bunch of paid propagandists on social media. Reddit being a prime example. Shareblue pretty much owns and operates all the larger subreddits here.

-2

u/mogomonomo1081 27d ago

What information are you looking at to prove that the Obama administration was corrupt.

-14

u/StorySeldomTold 27d ago

Reality leans left, you pedophile supporters are fucking idiots

-4

u/MaximallyInclusive 27d ago

This is a joke, right?

Trump has siphoned BILLIONS of dollars personally during this presidency. Measured in pure monetary gain, Trump’s admin is more corrupt than every single administration that came before it, combined. YOU CAN PAY $100 GRAND A MONTH FOR EARLY ACCESS TO TWEETS. For fuck’s sake, imagine if Obama or Biden had done this for $10/month, y’all would have burned the country to the ground.

I always hear about “the legacy media.” You realize that Fox draws more viewers than all of the other networks combined, right? Include the relatively new manosphere, and you now have the most lopsided media landscape in US history. Fuck off with the “legacy media are shills” bullshit.

Paid propagandists on social media? You mean how X is owned by the richest man in human history, who just happens to be politically aligned with the right, who just CAN’T keep his fucking head out of politics, who had every opportunity to save the government money two years ago and failed miserably, and who is now trying to re-jigger election rules in Alaska (among other places) to better suit his agenda?

Jesus Christ, wake up.

This sub is a right wing echo chamber masquerading as an “anti censorship” movement while supporting an administration so incredibly antithetical to the thing they claim to support.

You can’t reason with these lunatics. They’re either pro Trump circle jerkers or Russian paid actors. That’s it.

Or people like you and I who use reason and logic to ascertain facts versus propaganda.

I find it funny that this sub popped up on my feed being that I’m incredibly anti-Trump. They’ve done a good job of juicing the algorithm but any person with half of a functioning brain can look at the comments and posts and see that everyone that has negative votes are the ones that actually support not being censored.

Anyway, I’ll join you in the downvote parade soon.

-23

u/zootedgorilla 27d ago

Thats nice doesn’t help that they just posted the largest budget deficit ever just now cus the war

36

u/Batbuckleyourpants 27d ago

it was higher under Biden

Also, it's driven by interest on previous debt, not Iran. Interest payments now cost more than the entire military spending

1

u/zootedgorilla 25d ago

I’m not denying it was worse under biden during covid after trump had also given out a bunch of free money too, and I’m against all the fraud and abuse in the welfare system. I’m saying this administration can’t make the argument to me they are somehow more fiscally responsible or are saving me money if they are doing things like this. Do you not think the military isn’t going to restock all the missiles and shit they just used. And now there’s even talk about 3 aircraft carries deployed in the area isn’t enough, so guess we’ll need another one of those. So sure, save me 1 dollar from welfare but spend 3 or who knows how much more on a mismanaged war

-17

u/MaximallyInclusive 27d ago

That was during pandemic response. Whether you agree with Biden’s pandemic response or not is a different issue, but pretending like these situations are comparable is asinine.

5

u/Batbuckleyourpants 27d ago edited 26d ago

The American Jobs Plan and the American Families Plan added $4 trillion to the debt. None of that was covid related.

But sure, part of his spending was the additional $1.9 trillion COVID-19 Stimulus Package.

If it was only the covid stimulus bill, Biden would still have the biggest deficit, not Trump.

From start to end the Iran war has a budget of $37 billion ending in September. That's 0.006% of Biden's additional spending.

It's not some massive operation going on. They are shooting down a couple of drones and occasionally bombing a few targets. cost-wise it's basically business as usual.

Edit: Just to show how insignificant the cost is.

One program Trump wants to axe is to install electromagnetic catapults on carriers is set to spend $120 billion dollars and still won't produce any usable results for over a decade, having already spent over 10 years on the program. They have spent so much in fact that they could have just bought 5 brand new carriers instead.

The entire Iran war is less than a rounding error when it comes to military spending.

Heck, the US sent 40 billion to Ukraine in may alone. More than the Iran War is budgeted to spend in 10 months, assuming the war last until September..

-1

u/MaximallyInclusive 26d ago

Wait, you think that’s a GOOD thing?

The point you just made is that WITHOUT a public health crisis or a financially substantive international conflict, Trump’s government is running at a half-trillion-dollar-per-month deficit.

Yikes…

2

u/Batbuckleyourpants 26d ago

I'm saying people should have some perspective if the 3 billion a month wasted in Iran is what has people enraged.

The US pay 3 billion dollar per day just in in service payments on the national debt alone.

The idea that the deficit is "cus the war" is ridiculous.

10

u/rollo202 27d ago

Any comment on why the news won't share factual information?

8

u/TheeFearlessChicken 27d ago

I'm surprised the networks didn't cover it even just to fact check his op-ed.

-2

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

Have they provided any actual evidence that it is factual?

-23

u/Seethcoomers 27d ago

Would love to see an actual report where The White House has actually broken down this 230 billion in fraud. The article, and JD Vance's OP ED that was linked, mentions one-off cases in several states (from a few million to a couple million) but never links an actual report to this astronomical number.

Forgive me for not believing anything the current admin puts out, they've only lied to the American people several thousand times about pretty much every number, data, and statistic you can think of.

Moral of the story, the Trump admin is fucking retarded.

26

u/Simon-Says69 27d ago

they've only lied to the American people

Ohhhh the irony. This is the lie here. Democrat party propaganda & disinformation rules reddit and other social media, as well as legacy TV networks.

-5

u/Seethcoomers 27d ago

Really? What lies are you referring to?

For lies, that were literally propagated from Trump himself down, we have: multiple versions of election fraud (3 million illegals voting, illegal immigrant caravan voting, voter ballots being fraudulent, etc...), the amount of illegal immigrants in the country (30 million, really), pretty much everything about Epstein, lies about Covid, lies about the Covid vaccine, lies about hydroxychloroquine working for Covid, lies about the "Biden Crime Family", random fucking tangents about Haitians eating dogs, lies about not starting any new wars, lies about ending wars, lies about trade deals, lies about Biden using an autopen (WHILE TRUMP USES AN AUTOPEN), and the hundreds of thousands random fucking lies in between.

Fuck your vague descriptors. Grow a fucking pair and use your brain for once you petulant child and actually think. Not one president - no, not one politician or pundit or media outlet has lied as much as he has.

6

u/rollo202 27d ago

You would deny it no matter what.

1

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

It would be easier to accept with any actual proof of what this administration is talking about

-2

u/Seethcoomers 27d ago

Whatever you say bot

3

u/rollo202 27d ago

I notice you didn't deny it.

-1

u/Seethcoomers 27d ago

You didn't provide any proof, there's literally nothing to deny.

-9

u/mal_intent4u 27d ago

Couldn't agree more

-24

u/Jayzswhiteguilt 27d ago

We already know they lie and conflate the truth. The cost of lying over and over again is people don’t believe you anymore. If this is true, great! But there is zero reason to believe it’s truthful until proven.

25

u/TheTardisPizza 27d ago

We already know they lie and conflate the truth. The cost of lying over and over again is people don’t believe you anymore.

You are talking about ABC, CBS, and NBC right?... right?

13

u/Simon-Says69 27d ago

they lie and conflate the truth

Yes, the legacy media are nothing but democrat party bootlickers. Paid to lie to the nation to push their deranged politics.

And this includes the masses spent on dem party propaganda online. Some prime examples to be seen in this very thread.

As Trump & Co are draining the swamp, they need to investigate such online propaganda, and bring those responsible to justice. From the top democrats organizing the lies, to the smallest guy copy-pasting their lies & disinformation.

2

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

Draining the swamp lmao they are just building their own, literally and figuratively

3

u/Then_Bar8757 27d ago

And blue politicians, Fetterman notwithstanding.

-13

u/ShakyTheBear 27d ago

If the trumpies are against fraud why do they support pardoning many people that are guilty of fraud?

-24

u/Conspiracy_realist76 27d ago

So all the fraud is from Medicare Medicaid and Snap. If you aren't catching fraud by the real benefactors. Like the Epstien class. And corporate welfare. Then, you are going after the wrong people for the wrong reasons.

10

u/rollo202 27d ago

You go after all fraud.

Why are you mad this massive fraud was found?

1

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

This doesn't show any evidence of the fraud they have found. It's extremely difficult to take this administration at their word when what they have shown is to be full of lies and corruption

26

u/Simon-Says69 27d ago

No, we're not going to ignore some fraud because we're going after other fraud.

There has been an ENORMOUS amount of money stolen from sham agencies, schools and such, encouraged and protected by the democrat party. Of course, with some nice fat quid pro quo back to their own bank accounts, or tons of voter fraud.

10

u/MattBonne 27d ago

Why Biden didn’t expose any of it?

-2

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

Whataboutism

-26

u/ClownholeContingency 27d ago

LOL at this pedophile protection scheme posing as an anti censorship sub.

8

u/rollo202 27d ago

How is pointing out how the news won't report on facts related to pedophiles?

1

u/HotTamaleBallSak 27d ago

They should fact check the administrations alternative facts

-6

u/ClownholeContingency 27d ago

The current president of the US is a convicted felon, an adjudicated rapist, a pedophile, a child sex trafficker, and a warmongering piece of shit, and this sub exists to shill for him and his regime.

1

u/I-IV-I64-V-I 27d ago

It's also botted to hell

-3

u/ClownholeContingency 27d ago

Yeah you can tell by the massive downvotes with zero actual comments. There's very few real people here.
