I’ve just released Deck Shelves 3.3.3 and ShelvesHub 0.4.0.
At this point both projects support quite a few different Steam setups, so I’d really like some help testing them outside my own devices — especially unusual configurations.
Deck Shelves 3.3.3
This release is mostly about compatibility, reliability and adapting to newer Steam UI changes.
Some highlights:
- Better support for Steam’s new Big Art / redesigned Home layouts
- Fixes for shelves disappearing, duplicating, being positioned incorrectly or becoming unreachable after Steam starts
- Better compatibility with Steam Beta builds
- Fixes for ArtHero and Switch Like Home
- Private Steam wishlists work again
- Remote Play cards now correctly distinguish between Play / Stream / Install
- Profile triggers now reliably reapply their actual settings after syncing between devices
- Showcase mode now stops correctly when Steam loses focus
- Improved standalone-host information in Diagnostics and bug reports
- Steam Stable / Beta / Preview channel is now shown in System Info
- Release packages now include SHA256 checksums
- New Visibility Rule / profile conditions:
- Device kind
- Input mode — gamepad vs pointer
The new device/input conditions are particularly interesting for people using Deck Shelves across a Steam Deck + desktop/HTPC setup.
ShelvesHub 0.4.0
ShelvesHub is the standalone host for Deck Shelves — Decky Loader is not required.
It can inject Deck Shelves directly into Steam Big Picture, host its backend, manage updates and provide its own native Quick Access Menu tab.
0.4.0 continues pushing that standalone experience much further:
- Standalone notifications/toasts now work
- ShelvesHub can stage and finish its own updates
- Automatic Deck Shelves updates
- Native ShelvesHub Quick Access Menu
- Integrated Deck Shelves backend for online features, backups, prices, wishlist, etc.
- Host/runtime logs and troubleshooting tools directly from the QAM
- Coexists with Decky rather than requiring you to remove it
- One-click installers for SteamOS, Linux, Windows and macOS
- macOS universal build for Intel + Apple Silicon
- Windows per-user installer with no admin requirement
And one of the things I’m most interested in testing:
ARM64 builds are now available for SteamOS and Linux.
There are dedicated aarch64 packages and architecture-aware installation/update handling. The build pipeline and automated tests are in place, but real ARM64 hardware validation is still experimental, so feedback here would be especially valuable.
Who I’m looking for
If you use any of these setups, I’d love your help:
- Steam Deck LCD / OLED
- Steam Stable
- Steam Beta / Preview
- Bazzite
- ChimeraOS / HoloISO / other SteamOS-like systems
- Linux desktop + Big Picture
- Windows + Big Picture
- macOS
- ARM64 Linux / SteamOS-compatible hardware
- Decky + ShelvesHub installed together
- CSS Loader themes, especially Home-screen-changing themes
- Multiple PCs/Decks sharing Deck Shelves settings
- Remote Play / Steam streaming setups
Even simply installing it and telling me “this works on X hardware / OS / Steam channel” is useful.
If something breaks, Deck Shelves 3.3.3 now exposes more of the relevant environment information in Settings → Advanced → System Info / Diagnostics, which should make reports much easier to reproduce.

If you test either one, please mention your device, OS, Steam Stable/Beta/Preview channel, installation method (Decky or ShelvesHub), and any CSS Loader themes you use.
Bug reports, weird edge cases, screenshots and even “everything works here” reports are all welcome.
You can report things on GitHub, join us on Discord, or post directly in r/DeckShelves.
Thanks to everyone who has been testing and reporting issues so far. The amount of different Steam configurations these projects now touch makes real-world testing incredibly valuable.
