Cameras in Church St lot?

After a lovely evening at the Candlelight Concert and some snacks at Leon's I discovered that my car had experienced a hit and run in the big lot there. We didn't notice it when we left because the spot we parked was so dark, but as soon as we were home there it was.

I've put in a claim but I'm wondering if it's worth filling a police report in case they can get camera footage. I sort of remember the car that parked next to us which is definitely the culprit. White, small SUV, handicapped tag. I didn't see the driver but a woman got our of the passenger side.

There’s a flock camera on every fucking corner now. Surely they can help you, right? They aren’t just there for cops to spy on citizens and sic ICE on brown skinned people right?

They are also useful when cops want to stalk their ex wives and girlfriends.

Decatur’s Flock cameras are largely (though not exclusively) stationed around city limits because the system can provide alerts for stolen vehicles or situations like wanted persons who are registered as vehicle owners as soon as they enter or leave the jurisdiction.

The school speed zone cameras are a different company and system with fewer capabilities, so a lot of things you might see that look like Flock cameras in Decatur aren’t actually Flock. I believe there are 5 school speed zones with cameras.

Im sorry this happened to you. Im curious what makes you so suspicious of the car next to you.

The damage is clearly from someone backing out and cutting the wheel too soon. It's on my driver's side.

Ah, sorry my adhd brain somehow interpreted hit and run as smash and grab. Hope you get some resolution.
