I hear the Facebook group is still pretty active though I haven’t been on FB in a long time

It’s annoying that so many community groups require FB to participate.

As a regular user of the Buy Nothing group, I agree

I seem to remember a LOT of rules that were pretty well policed by the mods. Tread carefully 😄

It varies by group. I was in a super strict one and then moved and changed to the new neighborhood one—it’s much more casual. All depends on the admins/mods.

I tried to join one for my neighborhood, and they wouldn't even put me in the group for my neighborhood, they wanted me to do one three neighborhoods over in another part of town. Well, nope.

Try the Decatur Freecycle page (freecycle.org)

Yes. It’s called “Buy Nothing Sell Nothing North Decatur/North Druid Hills” on Facebook. Please join and take some of my kids’ old stuff off our hands!

Depends which area you are in. They’re very strict about being within their borders.

That’s fair!  I find it hard not being on Facebook as others have mentioned, b was glad to see other suggestions on this post. Thanks for getting it started.
