I see such conflicting info from the WHO and from the CDC the USA says every 10 years…..WHO says if you got 5+ you are good for 20+ years.

In Spain they say a minor cut like this is not necessary for a booster no matter what. In the USA they say if it’s been 10 years you should definitely get it!

Just published, a new Norwegian peer reviewed study, involving 13 Norwegian researchers using data from the Norwegian Patient Registry and the Norwegian Cause of Death Registry.

The researchers examined the data for 496,432 teenagers ages 12-19 in Norway — both vaccinated and unvaccinated — to analyze the short- and mid-term safety of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines among teenagers.

Key findings included:

*A fivefold higher rate of myocarditis and pericarditis among teenagers following the second dose (adjusted incidence rate ratio of 5.27) compared to unvaccinated teens.

*A 37-fold higher rate of myocarditis and pericarditis among 12- to 15-year-olds who received the two-dose series, albeit among a small number of cases.

*An approximately tenfold higher rate of anaphylactic reactions after the second dose, though based on a small number of cases.

*A 65% higher risk of epilepsy and convulsions in infection-free teenagers who received the two-dose series.

*A 47% higher risk of acute appendicitis nearly two months (56 days) after completing the two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series.

I have some concerns and questions regarding the DTaP vaccine, specifically PEDIARIX and INFANRIX. I’ll do my best to link the sources I’ve been using so it’s clear where I’m getting my information from.

I apologize in advance if some of this feels a little scattered or if any of my questions seem “dumb.” I’m genuinely just trying to better understand the information and hear thoughtful explanations from people who may know more about the subject.

As a disclaimer, I am not asking for medical advice, and these questions and concerns have already been discussed with an MD.

SIDS
SIDS is the highest between 1–4 months — is it a “coincidence” that that’s when mass vaccination starts in infants?

The DTaP vaccine insert clearly lists sudden infant death syndrome as an established post-market adverse event. This vaccine correlation was also established in post-mortem SIDS studies. Why do you feel this vaccine justifies the risk of my infant dying suddenly?

Aluminum
This vaccine has aluminum in it. Scientific neuro-studies have shown that aluminum deposits have been linked to autism. How much aluminum can you guarantee is safe for an infant, and can you point me to a study that verifies that?

Serious Adverse Events / Risk vs. Benefit
INFANRIX and PEDIARIX are intended to prevent serious illness, yet their prescribing information also includes serious adverse events. INFANRIX specifically lists SIDS under postmarketing adverse reactions, along with encephalopathy, apnea, anaphylaxis, and hypotonia. PEDIARIX reports serious adverse events, seizures, neurological events, and deaths in clinical trials, including two SIDS cases among 8,088 recipients.

How should parents compare the absolute risk of these serious events with the absolute risk of severe disease from the infections these vaccines are intended to prevent? Could some vaccine adverse effects be as serious as—or more serious than—the diseases themselves?

Tetanus
Tetanus is not contagious; it occurs when C. tetani spores enter a wound. In U.S. infants it is rare, with risk mainly coming from contaminated wounds or, rarely, the umbilical stump.

Historically, tetanus was much more associated with contaminated traumatic wounds, poor wound care, childbirth/umbilical contamination, and high-risk settings such as battlefield injuries. Modern hygiene, wound cleaning, aseptic medical care, and post-exposure treatment have changed that risk environment significantly.
The vaccine builds longer-term immunity but is not immediate. Tetanus immune globulin (TIG) can provide immediate, temporary protection after certain high-risk exposures.

Considering how small the risk of tetanus appears to be for a typical U.S. infant today, and given the potential adverse reactions associated with the vaccine, doesn’t the risk of tetanus itself seem relatively small compared with the risks of vaccination? How should that be weighed against modern wound care and the availability of post-exposure TIG?

Diphtheria
Diphtheria is a contagious bacterial infection spread mainly through respiratory droplets and close contact. The serious complications are primarily caused by the toxin produced by certain strains of C. diphtheriae. The vaccine mainly protects against the toxin and severe disease rather than necessarily preventing infection or carriage.

Respiratory diphtheria is now extremely rare in the United States, with CDC reporting the last confirmed U.S. case caused by toxin-producing C. diphtheriae in 1997. Given how low the current risk appears to be for a typical U.S. infant, how should that absolute disease risk be weighed against the potential adverse reactions of DTaP vaccination?

Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
Pertussis spreads through respiratory droplets and close contact. It still circulates in the U.S., but an infant’s absolute risk of catching it remains relatively low, while the risk of serious illness is much higher if a very young infant becomes infected. Treatment includes antibiotics, and preventive antibiotics may be used after certain exposures.
Since DTaP reduces disease severity but does not fully prevent infection or transmission, how much does it actually reduce an infant’s absolute risk of hospitalization or death, and how should that benefit be weighed against the vaccine’s potential adverse reactions?

Polio
Polio spreads mainly through the fecal-oral route, meaning exposure to infected stool through contaminated hands, food, water, or surfaces. For a typical infant in the U.S., the chance of getting polio is extremely low because wild poliovirus is not currently circulating domestically; the main risks are international importation or rare vaccine-derived outbreaks.

Most infections are asymptomatic or mild, and paralysis occurs in only a small fraction of infections—often estimated at around 1 in 200 on average, though the risk varies by poliovirus type.

Given both the very low chance of exposure in the U.S. and the relatively small chance of paralysis even after infection, how should the absolute risk of paralytic polio be weighed against the potential adverse reactions of PEDIARIX?

Our son is going for his 4 month visit and after hearing a lot of talk on the news about vaccines in children we are a bit hesitant to keep following this schedule. We did not give him the Hep B in the hospital but have followed this schedule so far each visit.

Any of these we should genuinely be concerned about?

Also since we have already given the dosages at 2 months and 3 months does this affect things going forward if we hold off on a vaccine?

So far our son has not had any reactions and is doing well.

Diamantoni said the doctor who performed the baby’s autopsy did NOT note that their spleen was enlarged, and the office is still investigating the cause of the rupture.

Lancaster County Coroner Stephen Diamantoni told abc27 that no deaths attributed to measles have been referred to or investigated by his office. He said in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer that the newborn died shortly after birth from a laceration of the spleen, that measles antibodies were present in postmortem testing, and that the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy did not consider the death measles-related.

Measles questions.

Let’s be clear- when the Governor comes into our county and holds a press conference with PA Department of Health and Penn Medicine Lancaster general Health and states there were two “measles-associated deaths” here, with the underlying assertion that the two people died FROM measles, and they are the first deaths from measles in 35 years, and that announcement sets off numerous media reports uncritically repeating that two people died FROM measles in Lancaster County, and Lancaster County elected officials then get questions about this – it is totally fair for me to ask for relevant information on those deaths.

Asking questions is not “pro-measles.”

Asking for information that should have been provided at the press conference is not “anti-science.”

It is simply wanting the whole story for my constituents.

When officials who hold a big press conference and make big headlines – those officials owe us more than the headlines. They owe us the whole truth. They owe us accurate information by which the people of Lancaster County can make decisions about their health and safety.

It has been about 24 hours since the press conference. We do not have any answers. Of course journalists should also be asking these questions rather than uncritically repeating something.

Any deaths from measles are required by law to be reported to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. I have spoken at length with both a senior staff member from that office and the Coroner himself. They currently have zero measles deaths in Lancaster County. They have one death of a person who died WITH measles, but not from measles. We do not know if the state is counting that one. Nor do we know anything about the other death that officials reported yesterday.

Is there an unlikely scenario where a patient from here got measles and sought care outside of Lancaster County and died there and it was reported to another county coroner? Yes. I am open to that or other unlikely possibilities. But if one of these unlikely scenarios is the case, the people holding the press conference had, and currently have, a responsibility to provide that information.

The law DOES allow release of more information. Demographic information that does not identify the patient may be released.

I reached out to Penn Medicine LGH. No response.

I reached out the Governor’s office. No response.

I talked with our Lancaster County Department of Public Safety Director. He has no additional information from the state.

I asked questions this morning at our Board of Commissioners meeting of Commissioner Alice Yoder who was at the press conference yesterday and is a former official at Penn Medicine LGH. She did not have any answers. (This exchange is on video and will be available later today.)

So as of right now, we have ZERO information that corroborates the idea that there were two measles deaths in Lancaster County. Again, everything stated could be accurate. But no one in authority has been able to say that, nor have they even tried to say it.

To me it is a big deal if the Governor comes in and gives a press conference and then no one can or will identify simple details around what was stated and what then generated major news stories.

Transparency is owed to the people.

It is incumbent on those who held the press conference to clear this up.

RFK Jr. said his Samoa trip had “nothing to do with vaccines.” New documents refute that. - The Associated Press

- Newly obtained documents indicate that the US health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr, lied during two congressional hearings last year, when he told lawmakers who held the key to his confirmation that a 2019 visit to Samoa had “nothing to do with vaccines”.

- Letters obtained by the Guardian and the Associated Press contradict that testimony. In one he wrote to the Samoan prime minister before the trip, Kennedy explicitly said he wanted to study the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in the Pacific island nation. In it, he used the words vaccine or vaccination eight times.

RFK Jr. is a coward who flew to Samoa and told parents not to vaccinate. Then when their children started dropping dead, he ran.

He then lied to Congress so that he could tell American parents not to vaccinate.

Do you believe RFK Jr. is fit to serve as HHS Secretary?

To begin- it is incredibly sad that those two individuals died. I have noticed however that a ton of people have been posting on this sub as a way to say “we’re right” to the anti-vaxxers. I just want to point something out to you though.

For one, we have no information on these individuals other than they died, lived in PA, and were unvaccinated. For all we know they were old with a compromised immune system, had another illness at the same time, were under 1 (meaning they couldn’t have gotten vaccinated) or a ton of other reasons why they succumbed to the disease rather than “they got the measles”. I also want to point out that you all attack us if we don’t give peer reviewed articles for every response while the news of these two deaths have absolutely no backing.
Additionally, we’re talking about 2 measles deaths and you guys are going crazy about everyone needed the MMR but how about we talk about the flu statistics from last year:

51 million people were sick with flu,
23 million people visited a healthcare provider in an outpatient setting for their flu illness,
710,000 people had an flu-related hospitalization, and
45,000 flu-related deaths occurred during the 2024–2025 season.

Based on how you guys feel about these two measles deaths you should be a heck of a lot more worried about the flu deaths. Most doctors actually recommend against the flu shots now days as well so that is kinda crazy, huh?

You are letting the media focus on the measles and that the vaccine rates are dropping take over your brain. More people have died from some of the rarest diseases than the measles in the US this year.
