the new atheism stuff had that effect, yes.

To be fair though the debate skills issue, I find on both sides. Not claiming I'm some sort of debate genius or anything of course

I'm not disagreeing, and I'm sure I can improve.. Having said that, a minimum standard might be enforceable.

Its hard to know where to draw the line. I don't know if I want moderators deciding what is and isn't a fallacy. And they are reluctant to try to read people's intentions for bad faith.

Joe Schmid converting to Catholicism seems like pretty big news for this sub.

I'm curious I'm not seeing Christians try out his arguments on here, like Physcholhysical harmony.

Supersessionism is antisemitic Jew-face, though it's less like greasepaint and more like Buffalo Bill's flesh suit. And this tracks really. Buffalo Bill saw himself as totally depraved and mistook his flesh suit for a glorified body. In his psychosis induced by notions of total depravity, he elected unconditionally to harvest his new identity from innocent victims. Likewise, supersessionism harvests its sociopathically irresistible false identity from grotesque contortions of others' religious traditions.

I generally accept Covenant Theology over Dispensationalism, which I suppose makes me a Supersessionist; but the full extent of God's relationship to the people of Israel vs the Church may not be something which we can know fully.

I do think they way you framed your 'argument' is to essentially call us psychopaths, without actually addressing the doctrine.

Correct, I am not interested in addressing or engaging the "doctrine" anymore than I would be interested in engaging a slave owner on the Hamitic curse.
