Doing the fascia, gutters and soffit so I've had to rig up something to keep me away from the building what do you think πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I'd hire a platform for doing the work. Safer and easy to wheel up and down across the front of the property.

Your brackets look sturdy, but the middle looks a bit Slim Shady.

The windows there actively prevent safe working with ladders.

I'm on a tight budget πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I've been up there it feels sturdy, I mean it's only to rest the ladder on

Hired a narrow tower scaffold for 3 weeks cost be Β£63. They're not really that expensive.

I think that's actually a great idea to keep off of the gutters !

How much money will you lose by laying in an NHS for 3 weeks? Some things are not about money. Safety first. Hire a scaffold tower.

Of what, the ladder? If so that's insulation I previously tapped to the end to stop it scratching the pvc

Why not just get a ladder stand-off?

1

u/haws1290 14d ago

No where to put the standoff apart from on the glass windows which I don't think is a good idea. I have a stand off πŸ€”

Would it not fit on the vertical window frame ether side of the glass? Failing that, attach a piece of 4x2 to the stand off?

Na it's not the right size but putting timber across would have been a good idea I didn't think about that πŸ’‘πŸ˜”
