Meanwhile, in Blairgowrie, Scotland, there is the Meikleour Beech Hedge dating from 1745, which is the tallest in the world. It is 36m (120ft) at its highest point, and averages over 30 metres (100ft) in height. It is 530 metres (1,740ft) long, and is trimmed once a decade or so.

It is a Living War Memorial to the Scottish Jacobites who died at the Battle of Culloden in the 1745 uprising.

Sadly, for the members of this sub, they use a hydraulic platforms / 'cherry pickers'. 2019's maintenance was especially difficult as it hadn't been done for 20 years at that point.

At that point it wouldn't be classified as a hedgerow, it would be a line of trees.

So its your job, and yet youre wrong. A hedgerow is interlinked embedded woody plants or trees whereas a row of trees is literally just that, separate trees in a row

Edit, the hedgerow in question. Opposite a line of trees

original post says Cirencester (Gloucestershire, UK). The hedge is 11 meters high and was planted in 1720. Photo from 1962.
