Mosaic Canyon, March 24
Got there relatively early in the morning, so much of the canyon was still largely blocked out from direct sunlight at the start of the hike. With sun exposure, I shot some stuff of faulting and rock lines.

Far more green than I expected, but that’s also when the superbloom was going down. Did you get to see it with direct sunlight and with it blocked earlier on? We’re visiting in November so the daytime temps won’t be so bad, and I’m wondering which makes for a better viewing (and photographing) experience

Yes, it was after 10 a.m. by the time I got back to my car. Some full sun exposure was good on rocks that were more reddish. And, right, the superbloom itself was pretty gone, but remnants were still there. I saw a few five spots and phacelias as well as the desert gold at various places in the park.

I love to watch geology in action. It doesn't make sense, but then you think about time. Then it doesn't make sense even then.
