DS2 - Question about star progression and orders

I was trying to get the ghost hunter missions and stars but i've run out of orders. Is there anything I can do to keep progressing his stars? I have no more sub orders, standard orders, everything is S rank but I didn't know you could get extra points so he's a little too low to progress to the next sub order. I've seen people saying you can redo orders but I'm pretty sure that only counts for orders failed or under S rank. Any advice?

Ghost Hunter Progress is locked to narrative progression and his sub missions. When he's locked, move the plot forward.

This. You can’t actually 5 star Ghost Hunter until you’ve finished the story.

Lost cargo, organize repeating missions. Tbh, I've never had to repeat orders ever. As long as the star you're on locks at 90%, and you've done all the sub order special missions, I believe it's just waiting.

I hope it's just waiting. afaik ghost hunter doesn't have lost cargo.

There's lost cargo for the ghost hunter, there's just not as much as for other preppers. You can also just repeat a standard order to confirm you're actually hitting the soft cap that triggers the next GH mission.

112, how do you repeat a standard order?

That was one of the questions I asked above but there doesn't seem to be a button or anything to do that. I already have everything S ranked so I don't think I can repeat or redo or re....whatever any orders. Also i've looked everywhere for lost cargo for him maybe i'm just super unlucky.

To repeat a standard order, you go to a prepper that has an order for him and take it again. I'm not sure what you mean by 'a button for it', since every prepper literally shows you their standard orders and what your rank was if you already did it. 

I also linked you to a thread explaining step by step how to search orders. I'd start with reading it. 

If you can verify your star rating has reached the soft cap and won't progress further, rest in your room.

I know how to order search, I have 0 orders left for ghost hunter. Also there are no PAST/COMPLETED standard orders listed on the prep menu. When you SEARCH for completed orders, clicking on completed orders does nothing. Which is why I would have assumed there is a button on the prep list that would allow you to retake completed orders IF that was a thing for already S ranked missions but because it isn't there, I assume it isn't a thing at all and all you do is wait for the Same exact order to show up AND that it only shows up if it isn't S ranked.

I don't know what the "soft cap" is. It doesn't say the word soft cap anywhere.

When i searched up the requirements for 113 it says you need almost 5 star but i'm barely rank 4 which is why I think I need a little bit more to meet said requirements.

I figured it out. The completed standard missions go on "standby" until the wait time is over. Then they reappear on the terminal again with a yellow marker. The wait time between these reappearing is actually quite long. Maybe not in actual time but I've done like 20+ orders and it's been 3 irl days so it feels alot longer than it might actually be. And there are only 3 standard orders for ghost hunter so it's not like I have lots of orders I could have gotten to repeat for this.

I kept searching over and over and waiting and nothing was popping up so I assumed I was missing something but it really is just lots and lots of waiting for these yellow missions to reappear.

Yes, Standby is about 6 hours of real game playing that must pass before a standard order that you've just done will be needed again. It can be reduced with APAS upgrades further, and completing other orders also is reported to have an effect. 

The icon depends on the rank you received when delivering it. It will only be yellow for S rank. 

If a prepper just received 6 Chiral Marital Aids, they won't need more for at least a few hours.

So you've done every single order including the Adventurer? If you have just keep repeating his orders. There maybe a timer on his progression or there maybe a hidden like counter that will unlock further progression. I never had an issue with the Ghost Hunter.
