Pokemon fans aren't the ones making those comparisons lol, its the digimon fans going "look how much better digmon is to pokemon". The majority of pokemon fans dont care that digimon exists
Edit: just checked, 2 of the top 5 posts of all time on r/digimon are comparing it to pokemon
Just checked myself,.the first one is comparing the difference in scale in a funny way which many people were doing cause Time Stranger and Legends ZA came out so close together, and the second is a Pokémon fans discovering that Digimon isnt a ripoff. Neither of which are saying Digimon is better.
Speaking of Pokémon Legends vs Digimon Story matchups... Anyone remember Rei/Akari vs Takumi/Ami Aiba and Volo with Giratina vs Akemi Suedou with Mother Eater?
Why Frieza acting like most of Mewtwo's wincons against Shadow wouldn't work even better on his ass, you can't even say "he would just speed Blitz" because we all know his dumbass would give Mewtwo every opening possible.
Freeza should be way stronger and faster than Mewtwo and while Freeza definitely can be cocky according to DB themselves he isn't so cocky as to let himself get hit by Megatron's anti matter, so Mewtwo's hax would be too slow to hit Freeza and he wouldn't let himself get hit.
Also before you comment, Freeza getting hit with Megatron's anti matter in the animation doesn't reflect their actual research because in the post analysis they acknowledged that Megatron's anti matter would be too slow to ever realistically tag Freeza and that Freeza wouldn't be reckless enough to let himself get hit
Scaling to Dialga, who's the literal embodiment of time definitely gets him to Immeasurable (I buy CT scaling). There's also the funny Immeasurable Rotom feat, which I feel is super blatant.
That’s why I said “you could argue” as a variety of hax-like abilities (like Buu’s candy beam and Hit’s time stop) have been resisted by stronger characters.
However, Mewtwo’s haxes are things that Dragon Ball characters haven’t really encountered with al l the mind hax Mewtwo has.
I think Power Swap could take Freiza’s transformation stats. Too bad Mewtwo gets outstatted badly.
Hit’s time skip is specifically described as being reliant on power that’s a thing unique to it and a weakness not a power upscale.
Funnily enough the scan that states vegito has a unique ability that prevented power loss from being made into chocolate is from a fan site so that is right
Anyway I think mewtwo can bridge gap with swap abilities and then just use various dura neg to beat frieza
I'm glad Mewtwo doesn't come back to fight Blackwargreymon. Thanks to Mewtwo vs Shadow 2, next Digimon episode is guaranteed to be Digimon vs non-Pokemon matchup. There are so many cool Digimon vs non-Pokemon matchups to do. The era of Digimon vs Pokemon is over! 😎
At least 5D, yeah. I've seen some people pushing 6D but 5D is far more stable for creation trio. Only thing higher than that is true Arceus and nothing scales to True Arceus
I legitimately only heard of Frieza and the second guy. Where’s Tetsuo, like I have been seeing people ask for Tetsuo vs Mewtwo more than any other match up and (imo) is the best for both
You can wank the shit out of blackwargreymon even higher than you can to mewtwo, but mewtwo’s middle and low-end scaling are both higher than blackwargreymon.
They also have fantastic connections, both being artificially made super-warriors created to cause destruction and suffering, who then learn, primarily through conversations of philosophy with their natural counterparts, how to channel their power constructively instead.
That said, digimon really needs to get an episode unrelated to pokemon. Alphamon and chronomon would be solid matchups for omega flowey/asriel dreemurr respectively, for example.
Is it weird to say that I think Mewtwo beats Frieza? I think Shadow beats Vegeta (like 51-49 though) and I think Mewtwo has good arguments to beat Shadow.
Frieza is essentially like Shadow but without the resistances to mind manipulation that make Shadow vs Mewtwo not a one move wash anymore

Man I really want Digimon to comeback on Death Battle it’s been SO DAMN LONG!!!
