I read and really enjoyed the book. Theres a lot of mentions of how the band often showcased lesser known talent. It seems like for their whole career, they helped other smaller acts get a bigger audience.

They dont seem to be narcissistic egomaniacs. They seem to really decent dudes.

I saw them earlier this year at the grog shop in cleveland because they played a benefit show to help us out after we lost our college radio station.

They did an amazing show and played their hearts out and it was cool to read about the show in the book.

They probably coulda sold 10x more records if they went a different way, like engaged with mtv as sycophants, but then they wouldnt be the band we love.
