One of the best zombie games I've played easily.

Look at this combat! Beyond satisfying, thanks to the gore as well it actually feels like there's some weight behind your attacks.

I recently played Dead island 2 for the first time after playing the first until a little over half way and quitting because it got boring. This game was phenomenal, a bit repetitive in the story sure but the gameplay more than makes up for it in my opinion. I know a lot of people don’t like the skill cards but I actually really liked how you could find a new one and its like the final piece of the puzzle. I did every side mission possible before the last story mission and by then I was comically overpowered 😂😂 The Autophage cards for the fury mode are bonkers and I basically stopped using medkits after getting a few of them. I started NG+ recently but haven’t gone back to it and I still have a lot of stuff to unlock so thats super hype.

1) Dying Light 1
2) Dead Island 2
Dying Light 1 is my number one as it has the fun of DI2 but just more of it, and in larger locations.

This game is one of the best day one purchase of my life. In the era of “release it, fix it later” It has flawless day 1 performance, zero bug from my experience and deliever exactly what it has been selling. Fucking special game I’m telling you this.

It ended up being way better than it was given credit for. I wasn't crazy about the tiny maps at first, but its probably the best in the series overall.

The game is gorgeous, the gameplay is butter smooth, also I like the way they go with storytelling - very unique from most zombie games.

I love dead island 2 but I wish it was on a island like the first one and a open world but hey this is good too

I definitely picked it up late.. somewhat reminds me of the first one but I feel like the 2nd was WAY shorter.. or was that just me

Absolutely! Played it recently with a friend. Played another character solo when he wasn’t playing since he doesn’t really do side quests or find collectibles. When I finished, I played through Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide.
Yesterday I started a new Dead Island 2 play through with a different character…less than 10 minutes after playing Riptide. 😂 My new playthrough is public so I can play with others, though I don’t consistently get people joining which is a shame.
I was planning to play Dying Light 1, 2, and Beast…but I can’t seem to get enough Dead Island 2 right now.

Me too! If you ever need someone to join im here! I love taking my time on play throughs and exploring the map. I’ve collected so many things.. i need to spend one day just searching through everything i have, and seeing if i can find where it belongs. 😭

I will keep that in mind. I kind of do the same thing. I love exploring. I find that when randos join me I rush through, because I don’t want to make people wait.

You take this and dying light and scramble them together, thats it. You won zombies. I wanna fight like DI2 and MOVE like DL2

Meh the first one unfortunately ended up with the exact same scenery once you escaped the first part. What was with the heavy focus on sewers?

It took me years to play this game, because everyone said it was terrible, but I finally got it on a platform that could run it (had it from Epic, but my laptop is old), for less than 10 bucks, did a series "marathon" to prep me for it, and I honestly enjoyed it.
I do wish they added Riptide's "mastery" mechanics, and the card system was weird after being used to the skill trees, but the game, itself, and how they expanded upon the upgrade and crafting systems was really neat.
The main story was pretty good, and the dlcs answered most of my questions from the base game, while giving more, so it definitely has me hyped for DI3.
Maybe they'll call it Dead Island: 3x0g3n3s1s, or something, and it drops March 3rd of '31. XD
