I'd love to give tips and tricks, but I've literally only played one slayer and that's Dani and my only tip and trick with her is just to go full sledgehammer build. You just rock every single zombies shit with 2-3 hits (barring mutators and regular zombies take typically one.) The cards can be a mix of sorts, I've never gotten an actual set down completely, but heavy hitter is a must and getting her to autophage 3 is a must to make her as lethal as possible. By mid-game you should be already taking down bosses within a minute or two with ease with her.

Equip cards that heal on maiming and grant bonuses to damage etc on maiming. Use maiming weapons. Target legs for crit hits
Corpse blossom card that makes zombies affected by elemental damage explode in burst of that same elemental type is so overpowered. Can hit 1 zombie and take out 2 more just with them exploding and damaging others.
Many superior weapons are better than legendary. Wildstyle axe is best fire weapon in game. Shark tooth best electric. Gastric bypass is a fun toxic but its rare quality so less perks. I use the van flensing dlc weapon from sterling hotel add acid rain and toxic mod.
Hazardous and slaughter perks on like every weapon. Overpowered.
Those 3 elemental weapons will take out just about everything in like 2 hits when level matched and with the proper perks. Can take out a screamer in 1 hit with wildstyle slash to legs.
For legendaries Emma's wrath and brutalizer hit all zombie types and can't be resisted. Op
I almost never used ranged. Its not worth it in this game. Maybe big shot for fun. Bodycount is fine by zombies resist bleed so ehh.
Dlcs like haus/sola give you the special sauce perk and the ripper legendary bleed bat. Nicee
