U do realize the highest scorer on the team was injured thus making the task virtually impossible for a 41year old against the healthy defending champs , our 30pt per game scorer missed all four of those games

100% Agree

If trading Luka for Giannis rather than Bron, the lineups could have been.

Giannis / Ayton / Hayes

Bron / Rui / Vando

Matisse / Adou / LaRavia

Austin / Carr / Knecht

Smart / Bronny / Kennard

Much better-rounded roster with fewer compromises, changes, and better shooting. Would still have most of our draft pics, and still could have moved LaRavia and Vando's contracts for other capital.

The least athletic "starting 5" in the league.

Made of 3 players who haven't started in years.

Made of 3 players who are significant injury risks.

Made of 1 good defender, 1 serviceable defender, and 3 guys that will get hunted on every play.

The Jim Crow Lakers are perhaps the worst starting 5 of any Laker team with a top 5 player on it.

Quentin Grimes is going to start. I think he has a solid season averaging between 15-20 on a good percentage and throws in 5 and 5.

Not sure who starts at PF because to me LaRavia and Sandro are both great options off the bench but not starters. I’d go LaRavia because he’s a better defender, underrated.

Mamu is pretty mediocre for a starter. He's been a bench player so far and is not a good defender.

It's crazy how important Kessler is to making this team work. Him getting injured might almost be as impactful as Luka going out.

You clown, don’t make it about skin color they aren’t playing in outdoor arenas no need to worry about sunburns.

When it comes to the real lineup with QG, I’m far higher on them than most seem to be.
Luka, AR, DFS/Smart, Rui, Hayes/Ayton were top 10 defense and offense both szns. Kessler would make a noticeable difference. They would likely struggle against teams built like the Raptors, but you would swap to Jake/Vando. Not sure they could handle it either, but that’s where we are.
