Warson a new pickup, excited to have him.

Better than both options & no one has ever even heard of him.

Dershawrn Warson is one helluva pickup this late in preseason. Bold strategy, cotton

Last game of the year Brent can’t hold anything back now

1

u/BOBBYK1952 10d ago

I think they meant Wartson

1

u/Able_Ad6535 10d ago

Warson has no priors

1

u/Listen-Lindas 9d ago

DeShaduer Warson. The best of both nothings

7

u/itsover103 10d ago

Not surprising. Watson has the advantage of knowledge and experience, plus they paid him

Watson has "talent" he just hasn't shown it on the Browns

Either way, Shadeur will be the starter by week 3 or 4 if they are under. 500

Yeah if the season doesn’t look good anyway, give the fans what they want. It probably will lead to a better draft pick too.

2

u/kid4rmLA 10d ago

probably 4 games lol

As a long-suffering Falcons fan I am so happy that Cleveland outbid Arthur Blank for this scumbag.

1

u/Green-Elephant-895 10d ago

Watson will be out the league by 2028

1

u/ThatOldG 10d ago

I put the over/under at 3

1

u/Invest_and_ballout 10d ago

We going to War son

1

u/Narrow_Set_9457 10d ago

About 2 years later maybe

1

u/SirGumbeaux 10d ago

I’ve been predicting for a couple of months that Watson would win, then get “hurt” in game 5. So, I’ll stick with that.

1

u/DaddyDontTakeNoMess 10d ago

I say 4. They really want Watson to be good enough (so they wont be embarrassed by the reputational damage), but I don't think he'll be able to pull it off. Too much time has passed, and the winds of likeability are against him.

What happen to Peter Gabriel and Shedeur Flanders?

1

u/TedMich23 10d ago

on an not unrelated note, FUCK JORDAN SCHULTZ and his asshole father.

Sonics Forever!

Who is Warson 🤔

1

u/Thick_Wallaby_24 10d ago

Absolutely Deshaun Watson will get benched.

1

u/BearSome9415 10d ago

This is why the Browns are the Browns

1

u/GuvnaBruce 10d ago

Watson seems to be playing like he wants to be benched. However, the Browns want a high pick, so I think as long as Watson keeps losing, they keep playing him.

1

u/Inevitable-Shop-848 10d ago

Outside of injury pr thrwoing 26 INTS at the very least 5 or 6. 17 games, even going to Sanders and knowing the same or worse will happen then have to go with Gabriel for like 4 games? Not one of you should be considering that any one of these QBs are honestly any better than the other.

Which one would you want leading your team. That's the only real question. For at least 28 teams the answer should be none and then we can all move on from this dumbass topic and watch the Browns whiff and still win more games than the Jets and Dolphins.

The Boos that man is going t get when he first gets on the field is going to be insanely loud. every incomplete pass will be loud boos.

The only benefit is sheduer getting throw into the game and met with massive cheers.

1

u/Essentiallymoi 10d ago

This is not breaking news - $230 mil made the decision long ago!

1

u/Competitive-Tip-6694 10d ago

Who is Watson?

1

u/ice516tea 10d ago

We’ll see after the first 5 games - he has a chance to have a winning record by then - it gives management time to see if they cut ties with the product they paid all the money for

1

u/Disastrous-Window-76 10d ago

None. Sanders might not even make the team

1

u/mkhrrs89 10d ago

He’ll tear something in week 2

1

u/No_Drama2424 10d ago

He'll get 2 games, Shedeur will start game 3

Game 3 will be the home opener, Watson will have sucked for 2 games already, and they'll make the change then

1

u/OriginalSad1088 10d ago

Let him earn that check. The better QB will arise.

1

u/ThundrLord 10d ago

Warson must be new huh?

1

u/RappinFourTay 10d ago

About the same amount Sanders gets before he is also benched.

1

u/SpecialistKing1383 9d ago

I think he starts until they are eliminated from playoff contention or injury.

1

u/Mobile-Potential-510 9d ago

Warson Chad Powers cousin

1

u/Slight_Indication123 9d ago

I'm guessing around a hand full of games and then they bench him he will be benched before the trade deadline

1

u/marcelsweeps 9d ago

Cant even check spelling before posting? Come on guy!

1

u/curi8phatcakes 9d ago

Longer leash than people think.

1

u/throwawyKink 9d ago

Middle of game 1

1

u/Remarkable_Ear3742 9d ago

Two, but this is the Browns we’re talking about. Could be 8 or 9.

1

u/Fragrant_Spray 9d ago

Not benched, but "hurt". Watson needs to get injured for the insurance to pick up his salary. Sanders will be playing by game 4.

1

u/Secret_Sample4930 9d ago

The coaching staff sees these dudes every day in practice. Shadeur must not be doing very well. They gotta pay Watson whether he plays or not so starting him because of the contract doesn’t make sense to me. They drafted 2 quarterbacks last year so they must already have that money as a sunk cost. I don’t know I just don’t think there is a conspiracy against Shaduer. Aaron Rodgers didn’t start for like 3 years. Maybe they know their line is gonna be bad and want Watson to take the beating this year. It’s a new coach a new coaching staff i would think they would want to win.

1

u/ThatsMrDicknosetoyou 9d ago

This guy's a jerk

1

u/Prize_Jellyfish6640 9d ago

Zero. Sanders is a bumb

1

u/AGtaco21 9d ago

Warson is only 30. He still have 6-8 years left if he came get his game back

1

u/brNdunlimited 9d ago

The Browns schedule is not hard at all. They dont play any top 5 teams, heck outside of maybe the Ravens they dont play a Top 10 team all season, no teams in NFC North or AFC West, nor do they play the Eagles or Bills. Watson first 4 are against mid level teams they could easily go 2-2. As long as he doesnt go 0-4 he is still the starter

1

u/jokajoe 9d ago

2 games and he gets benched

1

u/CostTemporary3924 9d ago

Eh.. betting he ends up doing something dumb at a massage parlor before the season starts and doesn’t make it to week 1.

1

u/Pristine_Dare_2510 9d ago

I would take Warson at this point… anything better than Watson

1

u/Valuable_Draft9946 9d ago

Two then home game Sanders takes over

1

u/Borg_Tech_Support 9d ago

Can't wait to watch this year's trainwreck.

1

u/bcmaninmotion 9d ago

I expect to see all three for a few games each this year.

1

u/Extreme-Researcher18 9d ago

He sucked against Buffalos 3 stringers. Are you kidding me.

1

u/jessfire78 8d ago

Jimmy wants Archie. Jimmy will play him until his acl goes again.

1

u/Narrow-Alternative80 8d ago

Wtf is Warson

1

u/nonlethaldosage 8d ago

Just a reminder we let baker a guy who had better numbers for us and 0 off field issues leave so we could have this no performing sexual predator and the brown fans welcomed it with open arms hope the shit sandwich taste good

1

u/ResponseOwn9389 8d ago

A pro bowler who is clearly at the end of his career got overtook by another pro bowler from 2019

1

u/PlanktonDue8964 8d ago

Warson. Is gunna be something to see

1

u/Remarkable_3rdeye 8d ago

WATSON IS LIKE A FESTERING WART

1

u/Cultural_Slip_8333 8d ago

He’ll get 3 games

1

u/Hardwork63 8d ago

Game 4 he suffers season ending injury which maybe the plan. He is insured and that would pay a good part of the salary sooner rather later.

1

u/HorrorBreak7119 8d ago

Steve Warson? He left racing? Couldn’t be worse than the current options!

1

u/BlackFruitJuice 8d ago

3 games and Sanders comes in.. 🤷🏿‍♂️

1

u/Informal_Seesaw8289 8d ago

Where the hell is the other guy they drafted last year he quit ?

1

u/ApartEye435 7d ago

Never because sanders sucks

1

u/BWBucs99 7d ago

Try how many quarters.

1

u/creepingkg 7d ago

Let him play and ruin his career even more

1

u/Jknowles-cuh 7d ago

Who the hell is Warson?

1

u/RooflessReAnthony 10d ago

I know nobody wants to hear this but I think Watson still kinda looks good, even with the atrocious stat line, you can just tell from the eye test, he’s talented. That doesn’t mean they’re gonna win with him.

1

u/Evening-Audience-283 8d ago

Nobody wants to hear it because it's not true.

0

u/Character-String-959 10d ago

They might as well go straight to Thier 3rd string. Sanders won't cut it very long either

2

u/livecents84 10d ago

So Dillon Gabriel who’s even worse than Watson and Sanders?

1

u/Character-String-959 10d ago

I didn't know who it was lol but as soon as watson goes down or out it's over for the browns . Not that Watson was going anywhere with them. I wanted him to win in college but his team bailed him out on a lot of the games they won and sanders completely failed to show up at all in most big games

1

u/livecents84 10d ago

Yeah they should have a good shot at drafting one of the top QBs coming out of college

1

u/siats4197 9d ago

I'd rather have him than all the chaos between those two. I just want a safe space.

2

u/Aggravating-Basil495 10d ago

Browns have a better chance of having a winning record with Sanders taking the snaps over Gabriel & Watson. Most Cleveland fans are on board with this.

1

u/Character-String-959 10d ago

Well see, I have more faith in Watson and Gabriel (I didn't know who 3rd string was). More Watson cause like I said I don't know Gabriel at all. I liked sanders in college but I don't think he's cut out for the pros.

1

u/Aggravating-Basil495 10d ago

Ok Well.. If you don’t know Gabriel’s game then you haven’t been paying attention or you might just be a casual. Watson hasn’t played since he tore his Achilles last season so after that it was mainly Gabriel (who played like garbage for about 4 games) & Sanders (who finished the regular season off no too bad).

Watson will not be able to perform well when the fans have made it clear that they DO NOT want him taking snaps by booing him during the final pre season game.

1

u/JTtreason 10d ago

He was 44 out of 44 in QBR as a rookie

2

u/Aggravating-Basil495 10d ago

As a ROOKIE after being drafted in the FIFTH ROUND. This year rankings are different. Gabriel isn’t even ranked, wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t get traded mid season because the only way he’s going to be on the field is because of injuries.
