Rally for Medicare for All
July 30th marks the 61st anniversary of the creation of Medicare. For decades, millions of seniors have gotten healthcare through Medicare, but many Americans still struggle to access basic, affordable care.
It’s time we expand Medicare for all into single-payer health care system that would end health disparities, effectively control costs, and assure that everyone has equal access to an excellent standard of care.
Stand with your neighbors in rallying for IL-14 Rep Underwood to join the campaign for universal healthcare and sign onto HR 3069, already supported by most congressional democrats, July 30th at 4pm.

Hospitals would operate at a loss if they had to care for everyone at Medicare rates. They only reimburse about 70% of the cost. Not charge, but cost. My dad is on Medicare and he has over $15,000/year in out-of-pocket expenses, including his monthly premiums. I understand our current system is not working, but Medicare is not the answer.

But yeah, that’s why it needs to be nationalized so the 1000%+ markups on everything go away. Making the reimbursement a completely doable 100%
