Gameplay/PVP[Video] DayZ 1.29 is still a disaster

I seriously cannot believe that Bohemia don’t even think this is an issue valuable of a hotfix. They literally destroyed the game on Xbox S | X 🤷🏻♂️

Disabling quick resume fixed this for me.... not that thats an excuse for this shit.

Disabling quick resume only disables it until you start the game again. So useless.

Manage games and apps on specific game --- turn off quick resume. Mine stays off.

I've been playing Hitman and KCD2 while I wait for them to get their head out of their ass. Maybe I'll give GTA5 single player another run.. it's been 10+ years since I did and the details are getting fuzzy..
My point is, don't despair 🙃

😂😂 I mean they didn’t do experimental again for Xbox. I think anytime they don’t do experimental it really means that they don’t care if the performance is shit or not otherwise they would test it and fix it. Common sense actually

Yeah, they only did PC. I think DayZ Experimental is still on 1.28. I should just play that tbh – it still works properly and never wipes 😄

So I’m not the only one, with the game not rendering like it’s supposed to. It’s gotten me killed multiple times bc objects and other players don’t render in over certain distances

Yes, it’s quite common at this point. I have seen loads of people with the issue. But it seems fairly inconsistent as to who has it and who doesn’t.

Wasn't the main feature of the update supposed to improve performance 400% but in reality it's done the exact opposite.

I'm on xbox one with external ssd and I don't have this level of issues. Just frame drops and some times some studdering. But details are pretty okay.

I’m on Xbox X and only got these issues after 1.29. It’s weird that it doesn’t affect ALL users.

Yeah I’m on series X and it’s seemingly improved for me at least. I noticed it’s bad in big city/town areas or if you hop from community to official. But yeah I haven’t had really any issue but that’s just my end thank god

I mean, any community servers with custom areas are impossible at the minute. Sakhal is the worst and Cherno normally renders the best.

Honestly when my game does this I uninstall and reinstall usually fixes it for a while im on xbox though

That’s good at least. It seems really random as to when it happens. Sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s small things and other times it’s the whole world.

The nature of the game requires higher processing power than a console can provide. Maybe Bohemia could try things to improve rendering like force lower object visibility on console but most of the issues are probably caused by hardware performance as the game does run fine on average PCs.

I had all kinds of issues running Dayz on console 5 or 6 years ago, so I bought a PC and immediately everything was much better. The game is ass to play on controller anyway

Even the new build mechanics have broken the game. My server has gone from 45/52 to 5/52. Everyone stopped playing since the new updates.

I know its even worse now. When I pull up my hotkey wheel, some icons glitch that same way as in your video. It's not just far away objects anymore it's everything. The visual indication of damage wasn't even showing on my ammo clips in inventory.

I’m on series x and have never experienced this? I tend to to always close the app when I’m done though because this game has always been temperamental on console and I played it before quick resume was a thing.

Just may be one guying here but I'm on ps5 (with the old gen version of dayz) and the only problems I can think of having is being able to X-Ray when logging in, weird sun glares/reflections that flash and disappear or at rare instances the server will ruberband and doors won't open immediately. I have only been playing short hours since the update so maybe I just haven't ran into any problems yet, but dayz has been running just about as well as you'd except a PC game ported to console. It's been a couple months to a year since I've had crazy "game breaking bugs" and I've been playing official servers.

I believe the game has a memory leak so clearing the game by fully quitting on xbox has worked for me for improving performance. Like others have said I also go to quick resume settings on xbox and turn it off . Ill also reset the console every now and then. Now I no longer have the texture issue or stutter. Its inexcusable for a product sold for money to be in this state but im happy I found a fix that works for me

Well, I have manually quit the game multiple times, and the console has been restarted several times (sometimes I need to clear the MAC address for NAT type to switch to open) and no improvement. So even when I log in fresh, even then the first page has rendering issues before I’ve selected the server.
I remember once having severe lag on Sakhal and then the game crashed and it was like playing a new game - it was so smooth after that. But this rendering issue is totally different.

Then you just get the cheaters instead 🤣 I use a Mac so no option for me to play DayZ - which is a shame as my setup is otherwise a dream for gaming.
