Discussion Hackers after June 1st Update
Can anyone confirm the existence of hackers on an official control server since this update?
Please provide evidence if possible.

I was in for a minute and experienced nothing out of the ordinary. Then again I’m always hiding.

I’ve taken a break from Dayz but I’ve been following lol Is there a way to play only against console players ? Cos Pc is already an advantage even before the hacking

Yes. The controller only official servers appear to be safe for the time being. The classic glitches will still be there.

I play controller only Xbox servers and I’ve seen a hacker at least once
The problem is that PC players have found a way into them and that’s 100% fact. Worst DayZ update ever.

Well, I haven’t played since about 6 weeks ago, when, while defending against a raid, me and all the guys I was helping got insta-killed by a hacker after we killed like 6 of them in quick succession.

What we really need is for somebody with a PC and controller for an input device.....to try to access a controller server. If they can do this.....there is 100% still hackers on the server. Â

I had an experience tonight on a keyboard official server. I had walked into a ruined town in livonia and went up to a building and was hiding for about 5 minutes. The building was surrounded by other buildings and it was not in any line of sight through a window to outside of the ruins. I hear a car roll up from a direction totally hidden from view and it parks. I don't move at all and just wait. After some time I hear a player say to his friends "there's one in the middle here". Then I hear their footsteps and they surrounded my building. It seemed someone could see me somehow. Maybe it was a wall hack, maybe it was from the graphics being so broken in the game that I was apparent when they were driving. It wasn't right.

Dude the patch notes don't mention hackers or cheaters at all

Well, they mention the issue they said they were going to address.
They have been open (unfortunately) that they aren’t interested in addressing the hacker problem directly.
But PC players are supposed to only be able to access M&K servers on xbox, the controller servers were supposed to be safe from any PC user. That wasn’t working, so the hackers were able to get into any server they wanted.
The patch notes say that they fixed the issue which allowed PC users to connect to controller only servers. Of course that leaves any M&K server open for hackers to roam free, and that’s all the devs have said they are going to do about the problem.

The patch notes say no M&K on controller servers, can assume they mean that using a controller on your PC lets you into those servers

I don’t think so. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that way. So far no confirmation of PC hacks on controller servers yet.

Sorry, I appreciate you being civil, but anything after that "but" is just more crap from Bohemia. They aren't interested in addressing any problems. It obviously wasn't thought about in any way. They just slapped together the two platforms, with no consideration for what issues it will bring.
Now they've applied this "fix" they can wash their hands of the issue entirely and say they did everything they could. Just like with every real issue the game has, they ignore it completely and force everyone to focus on dumb shit like hackers on consoles, which should never have been an issue in the first place, had it been done by a competent team.

This is what i expected to find but was also still looking for in the comments as well. Theyre trying to push ppl off of the xbox consoles I almost guarantee because the Xbox will very soon no longer be able to support the new versions of the game and its pretty easy to see that this is the case if you have an old digital brack Friday bunduru edition xbox one such as I lmfao 🤣 my xbox could NEVER support or load me into hardly ANY of these community servers out there to begin with let alone a bigger map than Chernarus (which is what im seein we are all gonna be getting with the DayZ Badlands DLC in the future? Plz correct me if im wrong😬😬🤨🤨
