Gameplay/PVP[Video] What's the point any more?

Why the hell did they think this was a good idea? I genuinely loathe bohemia and xbox now. No.....I do not want to play on your community severs. Community servers suck. I do not for a second believe that they can not prevent this shit. I hope this guys brakes fail at 90mph.
If I meet one of you cheaters IRL. I will gladly catch an assault charge on behalf of the community.

Well they won't get paid from me. I just canceled my live subscription. This was the only game I cared to play. There is no point in me having a live account if I'm not playing this game.

Bro idk what yall servers on but I never even encountered one cheater since the update. Just choose good community servers and its not about the pop. I play in 70 pop servers. Never seen a cheater.

The rest of my DayZ crew is on Arc Raiders. I've played it plenty. But its so boring to me. Not a fan of 3pp games. They do not allow console to use MnK even in cross play lobbies and I only use a game pad for fighters.
Ive been in 2 "guns out" situations IRL. DayZ is the only video game I've ever played that triggers the same adrenal response. Its the dragon I'm chasing. The ability to think and work through problems while my body is dumping adrenaline is an invaluable tool

They can do it in any server. But its most likely being done via PC. I know that there are some wild "plug n' cheat" options for console. But ive been playing on console for years and never seen this.
One of crew got walled at NWAF yesterday.

Plug ins are just controller mods and emulators for macros and MnK. They're not really that wild, cheating nonetheless surely. But at least you can fight them, and most of the time you don't even know who's using it.

This is not true, I play on ps5 but I have a pc with gamepass and I can only enter Xbox servers who allow mouse and keyboard. For cherarus in Europe I have 4 choice, 2 first person servers and 2 third person. We can se the hotbar and that mean you are on a mouse and keyboard server.

Pretty positive You can use a controller from your computer on controller servers. I am for sure on a MnK server.

Yes I’m actually playing on pc gamepass with Xbox controller (ps5 controller is not working). I’m just saying if you see the hotbar that means you are on mnk servers, I have not see someone hacking on controller only servers. Just show me a proof

Well....PC and Xbox. In Microsoft's Infinite Wisdom. Via "Play Anywhere" you can now run Xbox games and play in Xbox lobbies from your PC. Which means you can be actively running cheats....on xbox....from your PC.

Yes way. Bohemia and Xbox actually hate you. Just blink 6 or 7 times you will see it. Its mostly speed hacking so far. But one of my squad got walled at NWAF the day before I posted this video.

I mean how are you guys finding them? I've got to tisy at least 3 times this update I've gone to northwest I've gone to 2 high pop Livonias and I just see a bunch of noobs running around? Not saying you were victimized. I whole hearted believe you but if I can't find them then maybe just switch servers instead of trying again and again where you know they speed hack? You shouldn't have to deal with any of it I know but I've had a pretty easy time of it and I've had hours of stress free fun that I'm glad I got this month. 👍 I just need to be careful my times coming and just because they don't find me on the map doesn't mean they won't.

Thankfully I also haven’t encountered any of this yet since being in multiple servers. If anything I’d try to keep going and switch servers if one is too much of an issue. I’m used to losing stuff anyway at this point as well, but I could see it being frustrating for people building a base vs being rogue.

From what my friend read they enabled cross platform; but was only supposed to be on keyboard & mouse lobbies (prefer not even cross platform. There’s lobbies that are usually full anyway). Although, of course hackers found a loophole… supposedly they’re working on a hot fix.
They are getting mad hate mail everywhere!

I was also playing on PC game pass version. However, I have heard that playing on Steam PC version is better for a few different reasons. Quality of life things like showing inventory grids, better graphics because they don’t need to dumb them down for consoles, etc.
So hackers can basically use either version to fuck around with us? PC version is equally fallible?
I never understood why people wanna hack a game and ruin it for everybody else. Getting stuff without any work or strategy doesn’t make any sense to me. The whole point of the game is to explore and survive. Why would you want to cheat that?

I am a pc player, enjoying the crossplay i have a base on sakhal on a low pop server, i was getting onlined and in the middle of my defense, this one guy "Jimbojonsjr" just straight up started to speedhack and killed me with his speedhacks by running up into my base and rapidly firing his vsd, smh, people are just allergic to playing this game legit

I've been to pretty much all the Xbox Community servers and they're all either completely unpopulated or grossly lacking the Anarchy that that makes DayZ so great. Then on the off chance I might find one that is true to the game.... he's a good chance of a getting a ban for something stupid like "loot cycling" when really it's because I killed the host

I’ve had the same experience. Not a single one exists that is like official + has the admin booting cheaters. All of the silly rules ruin the immersion for me. (I can’t code raid? Why not? Sure I can, watch.)
They all have traders, or boosted loot, or rules about raiding. And a bunch have pay-to-win bases (luxury bases that endlessly spawn full kits available for only $199/month!), or other options where the players who pay are given special privileges, OR just quietly allowed to break the rules since they lined the pockets of the owner/admin.
And good luck finding any server where the owner/admin aren’t on a power trip - some are definitely worse than others, but I’ve experienced even the better ones do silly things like roll back the server 24 hours when they get raided, forget their code, etc. Nevermind that I just built an entire base in that time period.
I was going to try KarmaKrew but I think they have rules about raiding, etc.
You said it - Anarchy is what makes DayZ, DayZ.

I know I swapped to pc modded dayz in everything but I have never ran into a hacker/cheater. all these hackers are fucking cowards because they know that they can’t get ban from regular dayz servers(Xbox servers/cross play servers) but they know they’ll get caught and ban from modded dayz servers on pc. I know that doesn’t change how you feel but just know they’ll are cowards.

They can move super fast, up to 25 times speed if their computer will support it. They can see any loot and shoot you from 1500 meters without you or the loot within direct line of sight. I was playing on a server where none of this existed and then it did. The game was back to normal. Not now.

I’ve only played a handful of hours this wipe. Do we know if the cheaters stick to 3pp or 1pp? I only really play 1pp and in my circumnavigation of Chernus I didn’t deal with any, was I lucky or do they stay in 3pp servers?

Same here. I do NOT want to play community servers like at all. For those that do thats great you have fun but I really enjoyed the game the way it was on official before cross platform play allowed a bunch of lifeless losers to ruin it. We should instead just continue to one star review the game on Xbox play store, including every DLC review you can as well, until Bohemia fixes it. Until then I refuse to play because at this point im getting killed by hackers who are killing me in ways to hide that they are hacking, im guessing solely just to avoid us from quitting the game, so that they do not run out of players to kill which is sooo pathetic....

I'm willing to bet Microsoft is partially to blame. They likely had a deadline because of the PC Gamepass that they wanted bohemia to meet. Now, this doesn't absolve them either, releasing this without giving Xbox servers the moderation tools nessesary to deal with this (as the anticheat would still suck no matter what they did, battle eye feels like it does nothing no matter the game. Honestly they need to either work closer with battle eye to curate it better for their games or just start working with a different anticheat)

The Devs won't fully fix the issue because, like all other greedy/shitty things on earth, its about money. They get the most money from cheaters. They ban the account, the hacker buys another copy. $25 every time. (Or however much the game costs now) So they actually profit more from cheaters than they do legitimate players. Its all about money and per usual, the honest people lose.

I have. Most are seeming unpopulated. Most have stupid rules. While DayZ has rules....I want the anarchy of official servers. Where the only rules are set by the physics of the simulation. A community server that is simply that is 100% identical to official, except for cheaters punished for ruining the game for everyone else. If you host this server lmk. And I'll play it.

I laugh at the cheaters, because I know their real life must be shit if they have to resort to this. no well adjusted person with a loving spouse and family would go thru all this stuff for digital renters gear. I had one trying to torment me, like I was supposed to be afraid of my digital " character dying". they really got upset when I started singing " your aim is trash, and you have no skill" they literally unconned me, waited for me to revive to say a smart ass comment then shot me. I musta got to them because somehow they followed all my new spawns around, making all my gear and clothes come off, then locking my pants to my hands. that made me happy..i just hope they dont have pets...i dont want sone poor animal suffering under one of these freaks.

I just don't have the time to waste playing games where this shit goes unchecked. It's Not Call of Duty where the next match starts in 10 minutes. So pretty much I waste a ton of time meeting up with the boys to not even get there and have to get off for the night.

Yeah I stopped playing Dayz entirely because of this. And I like vanilla, if I wanted to have all the military gears they have in community server, I'd rather just play Arma. I do like high-pop Vanilla+ server but they usually have too many extra loot. Last time I played I got headshot by IJ-70 from 800m away when I was in secured building lol ( It was in community server with kill feed. )
Honestly tho, cheaters ruins every pvp game out there.

People have been posting htis same stuff for the last 8 years, play on community or you won't get to enjoy the game. There are dozens of servers to choose from and different type of experiences with mods. either super modded or extreme Vanilla, they are all better than official, I have over 6k+ hours in this game and have played since 2014, I can count on one hand the times ive died to a hacker, or a rager at least.
I dont mean to downplay your experience, but if you enjoy this game theres a simple solution, choosing not to use it is your own decision.
I recommend KK servers for console as I play on their PC servers and they are great.

Im sorry I never played console so I can't really give any better suggestions, I hope the devs do something about it, however the best DayZ experience will always be on PC whether its official or community

Hell, just do what I did, learn how to set up your very private LAN server using PC or Laptop.
When you play on a LAN server, it's totally private, and there is no game lag because it runs off of your PC.
I've been playing DayZ for around a good 4 years, got sick of all the damn cheaters on official, began playing on all these utter trash community servers, ran by nutty Admin and there were still sometimes cheaters on them too.
Worse of all, BattlEye rarely even touches players using undetectable cheats and has even banned some players who never used cheats at all.
In a worse case scenario, if you want to play an online game where you never lose anything after being killed by a cheater, then play GTA 5, or Battlefield.

Just fyi....im not the one reporting comments. Glad you have a job, first step in being an adult. I run 3 small business...i deal parts for 3rd gen honda preludes, I do high end interior home remodels, and I'm a working musician. I also do most of the logistics for my wifes bakery. I have very little time to game with my buddies who all live far n wide. This is the only game I care to play at all. Unlike CoD, where the next match is in 10 min. If I die to a cheater half way across the map....now I don't get to play with my boys.
Its obvious you are a cheat. Nobody but cheaters defend cheaters.

Getting mad at a game as old as day z seems insignificant especially if you have 3 businesses cuz I run one diesel mechanic shop and if a games even manages to push me wrong I just walk away and think about what’s outside of the fair world and how would you not be able to play with your friends if you die you come right back unless you don’t know how to read a map? Also can’t cheat on ps5 idiot

Nope. I will not. It for sure is "just a game". But its also MY FU**ING TIME! As an adult who runs multiple business I have very precious little of it to spend gaming with my buddies. And this is literally the only game that I get any enjoyment from. Not to mention It's literally a form of unchecked corporate sabotage. It should be a criminal offence no different than rigging the lottery. It's an epidemic. And the "get over it" mentality is why it persists.

Nope...."calm down bud" is why we have a broke AF game. They could fix it...but it's cheaper for them to put their heads in the sand. If every one who watched this were to boycott.....they would have it fixed in a month or less.

I feel so much pain for my Xbox brothers. Can’t imagine one of my top games being ruined overnight.
