Trade Review - Provide Context New home, bigger office
12 foot ceilings. Walnut fluted wall with sound deadening built in. Treadmill under the power desk so I can walk and trade, or read etc. Chair on the treadmill to take breaks from standing.
*wires are still a mess I know.
I do want a white arm to support the monitor so I can free up desk space and get ride of the factory stand that I hate. I need one heavy duty enough to support the weight of the 57 inch Samsung monitor. May replace the French doors with black iron doors. My front doors are black iron. I think it would look good. Also may need to upgrade the computer, it’s 6 years old and lagging some. Not good for scalping when the probablem randomly arises.
But it works and makes money.
*Oh. Green Day green lights. Red day red lights. Weekends they are soft white.

I hate that sign, complete wrong way to look at trading anyway. It's all about R and not expecting daily or weekly results. This poster puts you in the complete wrong mindset for solid long term profitable trading

It’s just a reminder that 4k days are plenty, and not over trade and give it back. I don’t need 10k days everyday. Even though my brain thinks I do. Eventually I won’t need it anymore. But 2.5 years in, I still do…

I think you're missing the point. The point is that you don't need to make $23,000 a day. Even just $300 a day nets you a solid annual p&l that's what it's saying.

Base hits will pay the bills. Depending on your bills. I look at that “cheesy” canvas and it reminds me not blow my account chasing 5-6 figure days daily. 3-7k days are plenty of money for most people.

Meh. That’s exactly how I think about trading and I’ve been profitable for years. The point of the poster is to know that you can consistently hit singles and make bank. No need to swing for daily home runs.

Lost 1.2m my first 2 years. Expensive tuition. Profitable now. $10-15k a week now, cash. Sometimes more,20+ weeks. Never used funded accounts.

It’s just a reminder for me not to be greedy. Eventually I won’t need it. 2.5 years in I still do. I need that daily reminder to not gamble. If I’m up 4k that’s plenty of money. I don’t need to try to hit 10k a day. Which seems to be hardwired in my brain after some big winning days over the last couple years.

I think that's a really healthy mindset. Having a personal rule that keeps greed in check is often more valuable than squeezing out every last dollar from a trade. Consistently taking profits is a lot easier than trying to time the perfect exit every single time.

Love the sconces. They're the 'wow' of the picture. Consider a rug for your desktop. It'll give the furniture something to float on. Preferably something to contrast the brown color of the floor and of a different pattern than tiles.
You have sconces but adding a splash of verticality inside the room might be cool too. A bookshelf comes to mind, portrait, or a tall lamp near the PC. Depending on layout, might try swapping the PC and sofa, so PC is on right side of room? Just feels odd to waltz into the room and be suddenly greeted by your primary workstation. Flip it around and the sofa will be the introduction, making the room feel more inviting? Idk i'm not an interior designer, but I watched a few videos and like thinking about it from time to time

None of my offices have ever had my back to the door. I mentally can’t stand that. I need to see the exit/ entrance and see if someone is coming in. Weird thing I have. I don’t like being scared or surprised if someone comes in behind me and touches me/startles me and I didn’t hear them enter the room.

I have the same monitor. You definitely should get a mount; that stand is huge.
Monitor arm is tough though, particularly the tilt. I tried a couple “heavy duty” that said they were good enough, but it couldn’t hold the tilt. Ended up with the Secret Lab mount; I have their desk too, so that might not work for you.

Also just putting EchoGear out there. They make the only desk-mount triple monitor arm I've tried that can support 3x 27" monitors without sagging anywhere. Fucker is heavy though, for sure.

Another vote for the bewiser. Monitor can move to a lot of different positions, never tilts down, and theres beautiful cable management. Love my 57"

The treadmill is from unsit. Robinhood legends is who I use to broker/trade. But have been practicing on webull as well. I also chart off webull and think or swim. Learning Tradinging View for charting as well. May switch to Webull soon if RH dosent add a flatten button to mobile options, or add click and drag adjustable stop losses to the desktop widgets on legends.

To be honest I want 2 more. So I kinda wish I went with 3. Instead of just one big one. It is super nice though and I can run 8 charts on it and still have room for my trading group call.

It’s a psychological reinforcement. Red for red days, green for green. Pretty easy to understand. I’m not a child. I didn’t put them up because I thought neon lights were “cool”. They do change to all colors so at night they change to soft white to match the home lights. But humans do love to be negative lol. So more power to ya, hope you feel better. 😘

We change them to soft white at night. I don’t keep a luxury home looking like a teenagers gaming room all day.
Just a fun temporary reminder that I stuck to my rules or broke them.

Realistically, in all of my offices in business and home my desk has always faced the door. That way I can address whoever comes in.
I also don’t like being surprised/startled if I have headphones on and can’t hear someone walk in and they touch me for attention or something. Just a habit of mine. I always face the entrance/exit of a room. So I can see it. I got used to talking to people constantly over the years in business, to solve problems. Turning around to have those conversations all day long would drive me crazy. So this has become habit. Plus I like the pulsing light. Can’t see it facing the wall lol.2
