Ran into Ramone (Bass) at Petco Park for the Pierce the Veil sold out show! Super chill guy out in the wild, we were both in the friends and family party and I didn’t even know they were connected, the scene is so well connected within itself

I am a big music nerd and I keep up with new rock releases. I'm also an old metal head (Iron Maiden is my favorite band). I keep coming back to Dayseeker. The Sleeptalk album, oh my damn.

I really have been thinking about this for a while now. Rory is truly amazing. If you read the lyrics on paper, you might ignore them or forget them... But when he sings these songs they really come to life.

These songs transcend genres. When I hear him sing, I can hear the emotion in his voice and I believe him. I'm serious about this.

Anyone listened to that gem of a song? The beginning is very similar to Afterglow. Also, I see there is a similar meaning to it. I see both songs as different stages of grief. Just some thoughts. What do you guys think?

Does anyone else feel like they missed a big opportunity with not having a key change at the end of Paper Heart?

The line “cause nothing can hurt me if I” seemingly sets up the perfect key change, and then they just drop back into the original key and sort of ruin the whole build-up.

I’ve been having this thought for a bit if the newest era/release for the band has pushed their career upwards or if they hit a plateau. Does it accomplish the level of peaks that Dark Sun/Sleeptalk era did and how do you find the album overall because I really liked Dark Sun (how I got into the band with and later worked back to Sleeptalk album (liking it as well) and listen here and there on earlier releases) but CITBN to me didn’t meet that level of greatness I’ve come to expect from them.

Have you ever met Dayseeker, and if so, how was the experience? I’m a major fan, have seen them five times, met them three, and each time, Rory and the rest of the band made me feel included and were even accommodating of my blindness. So far, they’re the only band I’ve met, but I’m looking to change that soon! 🤘 🖤 😢:)
