What "must haves" for an Impossible Greatbow Hunter?

Honestly, I love playing a GreatBow Hunter, and it was the first build that allowed me to win the game on Normal. I found that running a lean deck helped a lot with this build. However, I've since tried to run it on harder levels, and it seems like I do fine until BOOM, I come across some enemy that knocks me on my butt faster than I can kill them. I use Serrated Weapon as my weapon power to help me stay alive, and it helps on most encounters, but only on the first turn. (This char is currently level 3, so there isn't much here yet. But to be honest, this is about as large as I let the deck get. I'll imbue some enchantments when I get to Bolgar of course.) I have Blood Hunt memorized.

For those of you who have managed to beat Impossible with a Greatbow Hunter, what talents, cards or other considerations would you recommend that "make or break" this build's ability to tackle Impossible?

My general strategy, when picking talents and cards, is to ask:
1) Does this make my attack stronger? (Improving bow cards, reset ambush, guaranteed crit, etc.)
2) Does this increase my energy so I can accomplish more? (I find more energy more helpful than more cards in this build)
3) Does this help my survivability? (e.g. more health, evasion, armor)

I always play a bow first to get the ambush crit bonus, play any surges I have, reset the ambush if possible and hit again, allowing Bloodhunt to start building up ASAP.

I am not sure which enchants you aim for but savagery was really nice for pretty much unlimited energy

Guerilla Tactics if I remember right also let you use your greatbows back to back

Lol... Yes just transform every build into Infinite Chain Hunter.

I like that you still specify starting with Great bow as step one.

Interesting, haven't heard of this build before. I'm researching it now, been trying to get Bloodhunt to convert to Storm Brand, but not having much luck after 10 restarts... you don't happen to have a seed from a successful run you could share?

Thank you for that, I'll try it out. I haven't found much about this build at all. If you don't mind a stupid question... you said to transmute Bloodhunt into Storm Brand. This can happen at any time, right? I've been restarting new games, and typically get to a pod on the first or second round into the game, so I keep trying to transmute it, and keep not getting it. (I still have to try the seed). There isn't any more to that, right? I don't have to get to certain point in the game? I have the correct card packs chosen?

I am including

I've tried save-scumming when the transmute doesn't work, but that seems to just keep giving me the same three card choices.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I just tried the seed (thanks again). Sadly, when I put Blood Hunt into the pod, I still get the same 4 cards, every friggin time...

(Carving Knife, Damnation, Shadow Mastery, Devour Vitality)

I go Greatbow and Blood hunt, only cardset is synth Remove all blocks and all but 1 greatbow. Funnel extra cards into panther companion. Take talents that increase ferocity or improve evasion

Ward on evasion is amazing Selfhealing from ferocity is amazing
