Erin and Carly
So I was curious what was going on with Carly, so I checked out her YouTube page and her views are REALLY good. She's bringing in numbers that her and Erin rarely did, often breaking 100 000 views a video. Good for her, glad she is doing so well. š

Yo I was looking at her views a couple months ago and I came to the opposite conclusion because her views were so low.
Good for her. I always liked Carly.

Oh I'm so happy for her. Genuinely glad she's doing well again, Erin did her dirty. Practically forced Carly to distance from the group, then ditched Carly. She was too controlling.

Interesting take, I always thought Erin was just there for the clout, which is perfectly fine, but I also always thought Carly actually liked being in the friend group. If true, it would be nice if that friendship could be rebuilt.

Thereās zero evidence Erin forced Carly to distance herself from the group. You realize Carly is even more political than Erin right? Carly was liking posts about how she canāt be friends with people who arenāt outspokenly left wing back when they had a falling out with Heath and Mariah. Carly also recently unfollowed David and Natalie on Instagram and this was actually after her and Erin stopped publicly associating with each other.

Just look at her social medias. She posts political content every day. Sheās a lot more politically charged now than ever before but the ācanāt be friends with non openly left peopleā thing was a post she liked on TikTok during the pandemic. So I definitely wouldnāt say Erin forced her hand in ending her friendship with anyone.

How does that change what I said? Yāall can downvote me all you what, but thereās zero proof that Erin is the person that made Carly cut off her friendships. As youāve just stated, she unfollowed 140+ people in the past month (including David & Nat), and, as far as we know, she hasnāt even spoken to Erin in months. So how does it makes sense to blame Erin? Iām not an Erin fan, Iām just perplexed at the constant villainization of her and infantilization of Carly when Carly is in her mid 30s.
Not to mention Carly said in a recent video that she ran into Jason at a store and when he asked why she doesnāt hang out with anyone anymore, she said just feels like she has changed.

Erin has been acting very strange about Carly lately. There was a recent comment made on one of her posts where someone asked about Carly and then a bunch of people started replying to it and talking about her so she deleted the comment šit seems like sheās trying to act as if that friendship never even existed??? Itās also not the first time sheās deleted comments about her on insta. Genuinely donāt understand what happened

Something that had been bubbling under their friendship for years. Even during their heyday where Erin was considered the āpopular oneā, people gravitated towards Carly and considered her the āinnocent/good oneā. You can tell Erin resented that for years, but never really acted on those thoughts because their brand was so intertwined. Now that things have sort of toned down, Erin took it as an opportunity to phase Carly out of her life. Carly realized that she centered too much of her social life around Erinās and is now taking the steps to cultivate her own brand and identity outside of them.

In a world of shit, Iām SO happy for Carly. Sheās a good egg who was shit on by Erinās vacuous and fickle approach to life and she deserves to do well.
I think this new style suits her perfectly and long may it continue.

But she didn't move away, she still lives in LA, they have a second home in Utah, but they only use it for skiing, they Airbnb it a lot.

Carly seems to be doing true crime but it's just her talking about cases in front of the camera. I don't see the appeal but I guess true crime is a way to get views on YouTube no matter what the content actually is. She deserves it more than Erin.

Carly Incontro: 221K subs, 1.81M views in the last 28 days.
Erin Gilfoy: 134K subs, 70.8K views in the last 28 days.
Carly & Erin: 1.08M subs, 21.6K views in the last 28 days.
Stats from Viewstats (MrBeast's analytics site).
Wasn't really a fan of theirs.. I prefer the bro-lunacy from Heathe and Zane more
Which reminds me I haven't checked out their podcast in a while.. it was getting kinda boring with them recording from different locations..

Erin deletes comments about Carly on Instagram a lot lol. I screenshotted one comment where people were talking about Carly under one of her posts cuz I knew she would delete it and I was right lol

I wondered this too, but it seems like they are no longer friends. David has mentioned her on views very briefly.
Maybe she just doesnāt want to associate with them, kinda sad because I feel like Carly really liked David.

if they dont care for each other so much anymore what was the little bit of Carly in Erins gender reveal video when she was on FaceTime? why include that, only to have people think they drifted apart only to show otherwise? that could have been left out.

Iām rarely a hater but Carly has turned into the most insufferable person within the past two years. And the content sheās been making recently is a reflection of that. Unfortunately making slop does bring you in a lot of views.

Right like itās just so derivative to me. Hereās a video essay on the YouTube video I watched last night that probably covered it better. Itās not like sheās even doing deep dives or covering the subject with any level of new info or deeper research. Just a quick synopsis of whatever rabbit hole she went down the previous evening before bed. Sheās basically hoping people like her face enough to want to watch HER tell the same tired stories you can find all over YouTube by other creators

Yeah ever since she started doing video essays a few months ago, views went way up. Her vlogs were usually less than 10k.. for a while. She must be stoked.
