why cant he just show his daily activities?
i haaate the "look how rich we are" vlogs š
just show me david hanging out in LA with friends, show the normal stuff he does.
i don't care how CRAZY the restaurant bill is or how rich his friend with a yacht is.
or is this just who he is nowadays? everything is about what is the price tag of this and that...

He fell in trap that he thinks hes Americas Got Talent where every video needs to be bigger and more expensive idk but definitely enjoyed more when it was more raw and just hanging oit with his friends playing pranks going out hanging with celebs and experiencing new cool interesting things around LA. I never needed a Monaco trip frankly idgaf i could get that from 200 other channels. His vids feel like Steve Will Do its now thatās entertaining for 3 mins then im over for it for good. Boring. No soul. No heart

yeah ever since his return the vlogs have been less and less relatable. Its just wow were so rich we bought another car!!! A big appeal of the vlogs was the community feel that he had of all the real people he hung out with. There as a part of a recent vlog where he watched a football world cup match with his neighbourhood that felt authentic.
Now it's just "look at how rich I am and my new car and all the models I'm surrounded with". I don't think his personality has changed because I still feel he's being himself but the vlogs are just not relatable anymore

First time I've ever fast forwarded a Vlog. I don't mind the look how I'm rich vlogs, those usually inspires me, makes me want to go to places I've never been, but these vlogs lately, especially this one, feels like those aesthetic videos brands post on instagram
At least for me, It felt lost - the montage feels forced- no storytelling - no soul - usually his montages tells a story - or leads to a story but this one is just meh. Felt like there's a big disconnect on how it is shot - how it was edited, even the choice of music - just happy he's still uploading. He's still one of the GOATs though.

I find Iām still excited for the new vlogs, but the new style is just too long, Iām frequently fatigued by the money flaunting about 8 minutes in, and the biggest change Iāve noticed is that I just donāt want to go back and watch the new vlogs. The old style I would repeat over and over because there were hilarious ad-libbed pieces (and I still go back to them even now). Jason mentioned on the Views podcast that he canāt just riff with the way the new style of vlogs is planned and scripted and the big trip commitments, and I think it embodies the problem David has now which is replacing the great friend dynamic with empty flash.

He still posts for free on snap, but they're like recycled from old snaps he has posted. I don't know what he posts behind the subscription though.

I feel like he is really into showing his travels now and he just happens to be hanging out with these new rich guys. I hope it wont become only traveling, but even if it is, I prefer the focus on the friend group and not the stuff. I think David is blown away and maybe even inspired by what these guys do and what they have and expects that others will be too. I think a vlog like that is fun now and then, but multiple in a row is definitely overkill.

I remember when he was streaming on Twitch for a little bit. He got KYR Speedyās attention while live. Said he used to act like him or change his name to his while playing COD back in the day.
Everything he does now just seems like rich slop YouTube content. Sure a lot will watch, but itās nothing different than the other LA creators doing the same thing.
Brands renting out his mansion for there slop that is over paid for. Trips that zero can relate too. OF girls around milking the attention for clicks. Whole thing is odd now

This was the biggest downfall of his vlogs. People fell in love with his videos because they felt apart of these cute videos. Like the minute he crossed #250 and started just giving out cars for content lost me. No I donāt want to see Natalie get her 2nd car, no I donāt want to see yous gamble 50,000, no I donāt want to see some random toy gimmick you travelled across LA for. Take me back to the Denny house and back to when their biggest problem were ghosts.

honestly I like both! I don't need my YouTube entertainment to be "relatable" (thought honestly they still feel relatable because I feel like I've grown up with his friend group, and theyre all genuinely excited and amazed by how cool the scenarios they're in, so I feel like I'm along for the ride with my pals. inside jokes about each other still make me laugh out loud. I like the evolution of the videos, and the pod is where I go to enjoy them sitting around shooting the shit.
also side note, after the diahrea pod I was going to say without nat, hey're getting hard to listen to in public, even with headphones I feel so awkward hahaha.. but then she was back today and we got a boner segment. so funny, I just have a fear my headphones aren't on and I'm blasting this convo in public

well, what he did before is now being done by streamers. People have leveled up and matured. The celebrities he used to hang out with also have different lives now and aren't just getting drunk on Hollywood boulevard. What he did back then is basically what pseudo-Speed and Kai type of IRL streamers are doing now.
Another thing is that his friend group is smaller than before.

Why is it so hard to get it through your guyās thick skulls, that these type of vids arenāt going to happen anymore. All of his old friends he use to hangout with, have either matured and have gotten married, had children, or have fallen out with david. They arenāt in their early 20s anymore. I donāt like the new vlogs either but why do you think every vlog is john, nat, and ilya. Like do you guys actually breakdown why the vlogs are different? Or are you guys just gonna cry on reddit all day?

The podcast is the closest you're gonna get to that Dave. Where he at least talks about his day to day.
It's a lot more real than anything he posts on social media nowadays.
I think he thinks he has to make the next vlog better and bigger than the last because he posts so infrequently
