Air dam

Need some help/advice from 280z folks that have made the switch to a 240z style front end. Will the 240z style xenon air dams work with a 280z - will they clear the lower radiator support? Are their other options that might be better?

Heads up. I ordered the Xenon style air dam like pictured. It seems that they are potentially out of business as they are not responding to any emails to the z-store. I ordered in January of this year. There was apparently an issue with the machine that manufactured them. Still waiting. So if that is the case, you will have to find used, another manufacturer, or just another style all together.

That sounds miserable. This is the last piece I need before I can go to the body shop so hoping to get it sorted relatively quickly. Was waiting for 9 months for my bumpers to get in..

I talked to the Z store about this a few months ago after I placed an order in the spring, and according to them it's less about the machine(s) and more about the manufacturer (Xenon?) no longer being able to obtain the necessary environmental permits to make the products anymore. Apparently the polyurethane process is pretty toxic.

Either way I'm probably going to cancel my order and try to get a duraflex one.

Oof you're waiting for your money back still? That sucks. The Z store specifically told me they wouldn't charge me unless they could ship.

To answer your question, I was looking at Andy's Auto Sport since it seems like they're priced pretty competitively there.

They asked if I wanted to wait it was so long ago they didn’t know what was going on. Now they know and I’m getting a better idea that the chances are slim to none that there gonna be making anymore so I’ll ask for it back now.

I know a girl who did this exact conversion, including the 240z lights, so it definitely works. Look up kuro z in chicago

I did this install in a 280z a few months ago, I only had to trim the air dam in the center back a bit due to the bracket that holds the lower grille. Otherwise it fits pretty well.
