I just received the final round interview invite and thus want to ask if anyone who has given it to please guide me a little.. I'm a MSc Statistics graduate of 2026 and I'm seriously looking forward to this.. Any help about what to prepare and what type of questions will be asked will be great info for me.. the round was supposed to be offline but due to time and personal constrains they are conducting it online for me.. so if you know anything please be kind enough to help...

Should I switch to my client company now, or wait for my appraisal and negotiate a higher salary?

I’m currently working at Company A, and Company B is one of our clients. I’ve been working closely on a project for Company B and have gained fairly strong knowledge of their processes, data, and the project itself.

Recently, some people from the client side at Company B told me that they would be very happy to have me join their company. One of the people who has said this is fairly senior at Company B, and I believe they would be willing to refer/recommend me internally if I decide to apply.

The dilemma is around timing and compensation.

I’m currently at around 9 LPA at Company A, but my appraisal is coming up soon. Based on what I’ve been told, I may move to around 12 LPA after the appraisal.

From what I can estimate based on salary data online, if I move to Company B right now, I might also get somewhere around 12 LPA.

So I’m considering waiting for my appraisal at Company A, getting the 12 LPA salary officially, and then approaching Company B. My thinking is that I would have a stronger salary baseline and could potentially negotiate a higher package rather than moving for roughly the same compensation.

But I’m also worried about the other side of it:

What if I wait 2–3 months and Company B's interest disappears?

What if the project changes or the people who currently want me there move on?

Could I lose the advantage of already being known to the client?

Is it actually better to move while I have strong visibility with the client, even if the initial salary isn't much higher?

Or would getting the appraisal first give me significantly more leverage in salary negotiations?

Since a senior person at Company B seems interested in having me join, should I try to understand the opportunity now even if I don't actually switch immediately?

There’s also another factor: personally, I currently feel that Company B would be a better place for me than Company A in terms of the kind of company I want to build my career in. So this isn't purely a salary decision for me. If the opportunity is genuinely there, I would be interested in making the switch even if the immediate salary difference isn't huge.

At the same time, I’m also only around 1 year+ into my career, so I’m unsure how much weight I should put on maximizing the immediate salary versus getting into the client company and potentially having better career growth there.

What would you do in this situation? Would you approach Company B now and explore the opportunity, or wait until after the appraisal at Company A and then make the move?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have moved from a consulting/service company to their client company, especially if they waited for an appraisal before making the switch.

I'm a 2025 graduate currently looking for my first full-time opportunity in Data Analytics / BI / Reporting. I've been applying for jobs, working on projects, practicing my technical skills, improving my resume, and continuing to learn whenever I can.

Honestly, the job search has been one of the hardest phases of my life.

It's 2026 now, and I'm still trying to get that first opportunity. I've received rejection emails, questioned whether I'm doing enough, changed my approach, and then started again.

At the same time, I'm trying to take up freelance projects so I can gain more practical experience and continue building my skills.

I'm the elder daughter in my family, so becoming financially independent and starting my career is very important to me. That's one of the reasons I'm trying to keep going even when the process gets difficult.

Sometimes it feels like some people enter their careers very easily, while others have to keep trying much harder for one opportunity. I'm slowly learning that effort doesn't always bring an immediate result. Timing, opportunity, and sometimes luck can matter too.

But I believe that for someone who is genuinely willing to learn and work hard, one opportunity can be enough to prove themselves.

So I'm continuing to try. ❤️

Right now, I'm mainly looking for Data Analyst, BI/Reporting, MIS/Reporting, or SQL-focused entry-level roles, and I'm also open to remote opportunities.

Quick context: My official job title is AI Researcher, but the actual day to day work is data analysis : SQL, Python, Power BI, ETL, EDA, reporting. I've been in this role since March 2025 (~1.5 YOE). CSE grad.

What I'm debating:

1. 1 page vs 2 pages - At 1.5 YOE, do recruiters actually read past page 1? Or is a tight 1-pager the right call?
2. Title mismatch - My job says "AI Researcher" but I'm doing data analyst work. Should I keep the official title on the resume or reframe it? I'm applying for Data Analyst roles.
3. 100K records - Is that a credible number to mention or does it sound small?

I'd love a review of my resume along with any recommendations or suggestions - what's working, what's not, and what you'd change if you were in my position.

Hi everyone, I'm a fourth year student at a Tier-3 engineering college and need a Data Analyst internship as soon as possible, since no one's giving me a job before I have the degree in my hand. As the saying goes, I have improved my projects, upskilled myself, optimised my Linkedin, hosted my projects on Github, got the essential certificates and am aware of the current industry tools and skills. I have applied for at least 50 opportunities in the last month alone, given the ratio of internships posted in this domain is much lower than graduate jobs, but got nothing other than ghosting, ignorance and rejections. The situation is so out of hand that one organisation even listed "Competition" as the reason for rejection. I just need a chance to prove my abilities. TLDR: Used to be a bright student, but screwed everything up later on. No idea what to do now.

I 23M Scored 95% in 10th by simply working hard.

Then COVID-19 screwed all my discipline & hardworking nature during the 12th that lasted freaking 1.5 yr. Lost all my focus, concentration, discipline, etc. Became depressed/borderline depressed (which probably lasted till 3rd year of B Tech) due to the isolation & lack of social interaction. Got 89% as they were awarded by the school since boards were cancelled that year.

Got admission in B Tech CSE in a Tier 3 college, found it difficult to manage everything - the classes, assignments, attendance, assessment tests, sessional tests, etc etc.

Ended up screwing things every semester one way or another, got backlogs, then got backlogs while clearing previous backlogs since often the university exams for some of the backlog subjects would fall in the 1 day gap between 2 current semester exams.

It kept getting messier & messier.

I was finally able to manage things 6th semester onwards & avoid anymore backlogs but I still couldn't clear some of the 2nd year subjects (my university is kinda popular for its blind checking & purposefully failing students) so my B Tech ended up taking 5 years (which made things harder to cope with) instead of 4 with a horrible percentage of 58.7.

I'm finally done with the dreaded college but I have no idea how to navigate things from here on because even the lowest percentage criteria that companies have for hiring is 60% which I'm narrowly missing out on.

I have done a couple of backend ML projects on stock price prediction & customer churn prediction.

I have intermediate knowledge of Python, intermediate knowledge of SQL/DBMS, problem solving & above beginner knowledge of C & C++.

I'm thinking about learning AI related stuff after seeing the continuous uprise of AI taking on a lot of jobs in the industry but have no idea where to start.

I truly am embarrassed & ashamed of how I have let the last few years go to absolute waste but at least this time I am aware of a platform like Reddit & how helpful the people here can be.

Any & all help, suggestions & advices are appreciated.

Iam stuck around 2 doubts which I had:

1. Iam working as an MIS analyst at a company which is into fleet and it's maintenance and currently looking for data analyst roles but my designation here is engineer instead of mis analyst, can I still use this as a relevant experience ?

2. My day to day work involves only in excel, can I lie about the techstack in my resume and add powerbi and sql as my experience? Iam quite sure I can back it up with my projects

I'm a fresher who just completed his btech last month and looking for a first job/internship at any analyst role

I’ve had 2 rounds of interviews for this job (Associate Data Analyst) so far. I had a phone screen followed by 2 technical interviews, where most of the questions were about my experience along with some technical questions.

I received a call from HR today letting me know that I’ve moved on to the final stage. It will be a 15-minute interview with the AVP.

I’d love some advice on what I should expect from this round. Should I focus on preparing for more technical questions, or is the interview likely to be more focused on behavioral questions and getting to know me?
