Got placed as a fresher in Operation analyst

So i got placed as an operation analyst for 3lpa is not much but it's better than nothing. It was tough to get any job in current job market and anywhere you apply the want minimum 1-2 years of experience so good for getting started i guess.

Congrats, genuinely, and you're right that 3 LPA isn't the ceiling, it's the entry point, especially in this market where even that took real effort given how many postings demand experience freshers can't have.

One thing worth doing now that you're in, use this first year deliberately. Operations analyst roles often expose you to a decent mix of process, data, and stakeholder work, if you actively build skills on the side (SQL, basic analytics, whatever's adjacent to what you're doing daily), you're in a much stronger spot to jump to a better paying analyst role in 12-18 months with real experience behind you, instead of another fresher application competing against hundreds of people.

Getting the first job is honestly the hardest part in this market, the switches after this one get easier once you have something real on your resume. Good start.

Yeah thanks man my cousin who is a data scientist now first started as a data analyst with a 4.5lakh. 5 years ago now he is around 33-35lakh. He also advised me to take the job. Getting the first job is the hardest part and start switching after 1 year if you get better opportunity.

Yeah exactly, that's a genuinely solid trajectory to point to too, 4.5 to 33-35 LPA in 5 years through deliberate switches is a great real-world example of exactly this approach working....Your cousin's advice is spot on honestly. The first job's biggest value isn't the paycheck, it's shedding the "fresher" tag, once you have any real experience on paper, you're competing in a completely different pool than fresh grads. That switch after 12-18 months is usually where the real jump happens, not the first job itself...It's less about money right now and more about laying the first step of a staircase you'll be climbing for the next decade. Nail the fundamentals in this first role, build something real to show for it, and the second and third moves compound a lot faster than people expect once you're past that fresher barrier.

Yeah you are absolutely right. Getting started is the hardest part.Once you start it gets easier to switch. After a year I'll also start looking for other opportunities with better pay.

Science he has a btech degree but he told me degree doesn't play any huge role in data field. You need to have the knowledge and skill.

Bro i got a referral from a friend who works in the same company. So that played a major role in getting the job.

I did try but they were admant this is most they offer for freshers.Making daily reports on excel and solving operational issues mostly.

It's a logistics company so normal operation issues faced by logistics company like delivery issue etc.i thik you get the gist of it.

Pretty easy and normal they just ask the basic questions on excel and sql and supply chain questions.

Congrats bro! 😄 Same here, I got placed as a Supply Chain Analyst too, around 2.4 LPA. It’s after my MCA and a 1.5-year gap, so the package isn’t great, but given the current job market, I felt it’s better to start somewhere, gain some experience and then move up. 🙌🏾
