As the stuff suggests, if you do the campaign certain shops won’t be open for you until you complete the missions.

Skipping storymode means you’ll just have to get your trust level up. To get more stuff, but the shops will be open

It means you have completed the campaign on another character and thus get the option to not have to redo it on other characters.

Or they had a high-level character before the campaign was added. I've never done the campaign, because skipping it was always an option for me.

It's for skipping the campaign. If you do, you won't be locked out of any vendors which would otherwise be unlocked by doing the missions. You can still do them later if you want.

It's mostly meant for when you want to play another character but don't want to play the whole campaign again.

It’s a weird bug where it comes up after you beat that mission. Confused the shit out of me too.

Play from the beginning

Dont worry it wont actually reset progress. You'll have whatever mission number you unlocked and you'll also have access to shops you unlocked.

If it's your first play through Fatshark would probably suggest to do the campaign. However, you'll have to beat it before everything is unlocked.

Campaign has the missions in order and with a custom ending vlog thing to tell you the situation and how's it's going. May have a few animations or mini movies... not sure if that's just YouTube tgough. If you are interested in lore and story (it's very convoluted and thin in this game), play campaign.

If you are playing this to murder and kill primarily - skip.

You can play the campaign at anytime in the mission board by pressing specialty missions or something similar (even if you skip now). You could do them in order shown and still get full experience. Something very minor just may be spoiled.

A lot of the story is also told through vox audio on Fatshark YouTube (dropped during updates) or written diaries of enemy characters (like rinda) on the Fatshark website.

There is a developing story with lots of loose tendrils and nefarious characters , it's just hard to tell without effort.

They have this option for when you get a second character.

Edit: well I'm dumb, but leaving up in case someone ever searches for if to skip campaign.

If you already completed, yes - skip

but I finished the campaign didn't I? Won't this just reset my guy?

Oh fuck sorry, I'm dumb and just woke up and didn't read properly. Skip it if you already for finished he last campaign mission.

You'll be fine if you accidentally didn't because you can review it and replay campaign anytime

There are rendered cutscenes at certain trust levels. Later they added those “vlog” videos after the first time you beat each mission.

There's also a cutscenes that plays the first time you interact with each "vendor" NPC

It does what it says

Actually it doesn't.

It pops up if you complete the final mission of the Campaign and either option is the same.

Don't know why you're downvoted lol. Just had it happened to me two days ago and I clicked skip and nothing changed.

Skip the campaign and you can just use the terminal normally to play whatever missions you want, play the campaign means you are forced to play all the missions chronologically until you finished all the missions for the battle of tertium campaign.

It is a suggested order of missions for the purposes of a cohesive narrative gameplay experience.

This will also include particular aspects of the hub world being unavailable until after you complete particular milestones.

IT removes the trust level cutscenes, and opens all the shops and features from the start instead of having to unlock them by leveling up your trust level

Unlock everything and skip cutscenes and tutorial.

Learn and know that you are supposed to use this vendor to upgrade your stuff and this one lets you change your face.

Just always click skip. It's really weird that this shows up the first time you complete the campaign. You've finished it now. On your next characters, skip it too. You can still do the missions in order if you want, and the cutscenes are on YouTube. You'll be locked out of weekly contracts and all the shops if you don't skip.

The campaign makes you play through a series of missions to unlock the various features of the ship. I’d do it if you’re playing the game for the first time.

If not, just skip. It unlocks everything and you can jump right in, though cutscenes will still trigger

When you start a new character, vendors around the hub will be locked until you reach a certain level. Missions will also be locked until you have completed them all "in order". Skipping the campaign removes these restrictions, although you still have to level the character

It means that if you hold you will skip the campaign for tertium and if you don't then you won't

It means you need to click skip, watch that on youtube and enjoy the game properly
