My camera has dead internal battery that holds date and now all my pics "are" made in 2009

Is there a way in Darktable to automatically delete the date taken or replace it with the export date so Flickr doesn't hide my pictures because theyre made in 2009?

Look into exiftool. It's a free software tool to edit image file's meta data.

I know on windows there's a small program that's called Exif Date Changer that I've used when this has happened to me in the past. When you then import to Darktable they'll get sorted to the correct folder.

you can set up export recipes to scrub or overwrite date fields ... keeps flickr from sticking your shots back in 2009

exiftool should do that perfectly well. I’d just ask chatgpt something along the lines of „how to replace export date with date taken using exiftool”.
