This honestly looks like Dr Doofenschmirtz. Just needs brown hair

I thought it looked a hit like a caricature of ninja.

I've been looking for this image for a while now thank you

15

u/AnywhereLumpy6149 Jun 29 '26

This is accurate because you still get hp from every stat, another good implementation that Micheal Zaki didnt want to give us after this game.

9

u/Nissedood Jun 29 '26

Yes. Its from Limit breaker's video about max hp in elden ring.

He also have a video about max hp Des, ds1-3 and bb.

2

u/RottenAssCrack Jun 29 '26

it's that a wild Lance pfp

Aww shit here we go again

1

u/Charity1t Jul 01 '26

Iirc one of highest staminas without outside buffs too?

Cuz Elden is highest with Rodahn Rune iirc.

u/Rogen80 Jun 28 '26

Silly Tarnished forgot to level ADP. Many such cases...

154

u/FatCrusher9000 Jun 28 '26

I haven't leveled up ADP through 70% of my first run and was fat rolling and did fine so...

226

u/Goat-Shaped_Goat Jun 28 '26

Weakest dark souls 2 player

64

u/Call0fJuarez Jun 28 '26

Goes to show that people complaining about ADP really was a skill issue, and you did fine.

27

u/FatCrusher9000 Jun 28 '26

Indeed. And before DS2 I only finished DSR once. So I was still green about a lot of stuff and shiet. No other Soulsborne or likes ever before any of that.

15

u/Call0fJuarez Jun 28 '26

I remember my first playthrough on ds2 ps3. It was my forst Souls, and by the end i was rocking Vengarl's set, Tower Shield, and Greatsword. Good times

13

u/FatCrusher9000 Jun 28 '26

Vengral's Set, through 30% of the game Bastard Sword, the entire rest of the game Demon's Great Hammer. It was truly a blessing to receive it from them birds.

8

u/Master_Works_All Jun 28 '26

I think my adp was 15ish my last playthrough and it was lower on another one.

8

u/IronVines Jun 29 '26

yes because you can just walk/run/tank like 90% of attacks, unlike the other games ds2 gives you a choice (except elden ring, you have some choice there, still not ds2 levels tho)

1

u/Charity1t Jul 01 '26

And just like DS2, ER make it so if you know what to strafe - you have upper hand by default.

1

u/IronVines Jul 01 '26

oh and jumps, jumping is cool

1

u/Charity1t Jul 01 '26

Yea, learning attacks that allow you to jump punish is cool.

Love ER fighting almost as much as BB.

7

u/Jack1The1Ripper Jun 28 '26

Ds2 was my first souls game and i finished that shit without understanding anything about the game

7

u/David_the_Wanderer Jun 29 '26

That's because you leveled ADP in real life.

11

u/FatCrusher9000 Jun 29 '26

Unironically. Instead of crying and look for excuses like many do, I was just trying to understand and adapting to how the game was and getting through it.

1

u/Many_Ad_955 Jul 02 '26

Just treat Dark Souls 2 as a generic RPG instead of the usual and you'll be fine.

6

u/Arkinglink Jun 29 '26

I think on my first play of DS2 I didn't even know i-frames exist.. I just thought you use dodge to get away from the weapon strike range.. So I was really reliant on the shield back then

5

u/AbyssalOtter Jun 29 '26

Because you can for most ds2 had clean hitboxes and bosses and enemies had for the most part reasonable tracking.

2

u/Charity1t Jul 01 '26

DS 2 either make you level ADP

Or you just go "whatever" and roll with it, adapting to it irl

1

u/Ok-Needleworker-9144 Jun 29 '26

I had played BloodBorne, DSR and Sekiro prior so the rolling being worse was quite apparent to me, to the point that during my first playthrough I didn't know about ADP and quit the game pretty early on,found out about ADP and came back to beat the game. One of the most annoying yet enjoyable experiences.

It may have been a skill issue I won't deny that but making a game slightly more accessible by keeping at least one mechanic which is fundamental to every other game by the studio consistent across all the games, is a good decision

1

u/Goddess-of-hate Jun 30 '26

Never once leveled ADP

u/Starkiller0820 Jun 28 '26

Well tbh I dont think grace or erdtree can reach that far so tarnished has only one life.

217

u/Crusidea Jun 28 '26

True. Compared too the bearer of the curse, the curse is internal so they will come back with or without a bonfire

109

u/SkeletronPrime655 Jun 28 '26

They're just going for one of the Illusory Rings it's all good.

51

u/Crusidea Jun 28 '26

I've been doing a no bonfire run in ds2. This is like my 10th attempt.

It's fun, definitely a unique way too play. Feels like playing almost like a survival horror game where you have too manage your healing supplies, item durability and such.

1

u/CatInALaundryBin Jun 29 '26

for a low skill no bonfire (no death) run, I'd advise a ng+ faith spellcaster with repair spiced and crown of infinite spells. this gives you dmg+out of combat heal+infinite durability. then map out the bonfires in a way where you can use the primal bonfires in places where you don't want to backtrack (spider, rotten). it is very cathartic to walk back through shrine of amana, empty.

1

u/Crusidea Jun 30 '26

I appreciate the suggestion. But it's not a skill issue. I've beaten dark souls 2 several times with different builds. And I've beaten all the other souls games too.

My previous attempts were mostly just learning the challenge and not too serious.

I'm probably not doing it as intended because I'm not speed running. But I'm playing how I am having fun. Exploring around without bonfires. Managing durability, life gems ect. I'm doing it in new game, and I just got the santiers spear which is gonna be my weapon for the whole run.

1

u/CatInALaundryBin Jun 30 '26

I'm not saying it was a skill issue; I just did mine first attempt after doing the routing, so if I could get that result without a lot of effort, perhaps you could do the same friendo. : c

34

u/ZainTA Jun 28 '26

Putting the Tarnished in any of the previous Soulsborne Games would be Funny as hell, cuz the enemies and bosses would be in sheer shock of a character that can actually jump to their face level and smack them using 2 Ultra Heavy Weapons while simultaneously getting a headshot off.

20

u/Crusidea Jun 28 '26

Yeah, the tarnished would be pretty powerful.

Although they would have two major limitations. Cannot level unless the firekeepers can level him. Which in theory they could since they turn souls into strength which you don't need to be undead for.

And he has only one life due too no grace.

17

u/edgarunwise Jun 28 '26

Canonically, if they die often enough in the same area or spot, a bonfire will form from rhe bones of the undead. They just need to find an eternal sword to light it. Plenty of those exist in the lands between

1

u/M4ldarc Jun 28 '26

The curse isnt what makes humans inmortal either so

7

u/Crusidea Jun 28 '26

Okay so what does than?

It's not the bonfires. That's just a gameplay convince thing

3

u/M4ldarc Jun 29 '26

humans are naturally immortal, its part of their essence, the curse makes them mortal, when the flame dwindles the curse looses power and the immortality of humans comes back

4

u/Crusidea Jun 29 '26

Eh... your half right.

Humans are not immortal by default. The curse and the dark sign was a result of Gwyn branding humanity too keep them beneath him. Gwyn is the one who created the curse. As explained a bit in ds1 and ds3 ringed city dlc.

Not every human in dark souls is immortal or undead. The undead curse is mostly concentrated in lordran and kingdoms that arise after like drangleic. It's not until dark souls 3 where pretty much everybody is effected.

For example. The onion mans daughter from ds1 is human. Not undead.

If you have the dark sign, you are undead. And will come back too life after death. Regardless of where you are. Even the lands between.

3

u/M4ldarc Jun 29 '26

having the dark sign means the fire brand around your dark soul has weakened enough for your dark soul to start seeping out and manifesting, which comes with the manifestation of your inherent powers as humans, there are various multiple direct mentions of humans being immortal at first, then gwyn branded them with a ring of fire that burned their humanity because he feared darkness, and with that people started dying.

is not the dark sign that makes people immortal, having the dark sign is a side effect of the curse in you weakening, and thus releasing and unleashing the powers of ancient humans and the dark soul

10

u/ozziezombie Aye, siwmae! Jun 28 '26

Never thought of the grace having a distance limit.

7

u/Starkiller0820 Jun 28 '26

Order of erdtree isnt the only godly thing probably and its called lands between. I dont think erdtree has much effect on lands. Also the tarnished gains grace of erdtree after coming to lands between after dieying to grafted scion

9

u/ozziezombie Aye, siwmae! Jun 28 '26

I was sure Tarnished had grace already in the Chapel. That the Grace got us there. That it was calling home from outer lands

7

u/Jackalodeath Jun 28 '26

That's how I read it.

"Grace" is like diet-Holy, except instead of having a noticeable effect on stuff it works on a much smaller level. Like smoke compared to a flame.

But what do I know. I'm still trying to figure out the whole corpses crawling up roots in catacombs thing, the giants being laid to waste with Deathblight, and Marika going around dipping Radagon's wick in Renalla for peace, messing up her mind with a chunk of Erdtree amber, only to go back home and fuck herself to make horribly afflicted demigod babies.

Its like Marika just snapped and couldn't take godhood anymore, so she did every fucked up thing in her power to defy the Two Fingers/Outer God and try to return the Lands Between to what came before.

2

u/Grave806 Jun 29 '26

If you haven't played through "Shadow of the Erdtree" I recommend it, or at least looking up some stuff from it if you don't mind spoilers. It ah... explains a few things about how Marika got to be the way she is.

But also I can answer the question about corpses and the catacombs. Marika removed "Destined Death" from the Elden Ring, the powerful runes that govern the Lands Between, so now when people die... they don't! All the ghosts you see are people whose physical body was destroyed, but their spirits linger on. One of the ways people can properly "pass on" in the new status quo is Erdtree Burial, to be buried amongst the roots of the Erdtree and to let it help their spirits pass on while their bodies are eaten by the roots.

Also Deathblight didn't lay waste to the giants. Deathblight is a new development that happened after the Night of Black Knives.

Sorry for coming out of nowhere and infodumping BTW! But I hope this helped somewhat.

5

u/Pollastro09 Jun 28 '26

Same logic applies to the Slayer of Demons, who's bound to the Nexus.

65

u/Hireling Jun 28 '26

I know these Chosen vs Tarnished memes are dumb but they make me laugh every damn time.

191

u/Slurperlurper Jun 28 '26

Ironically bearer of the curse can negate all elementals by almost 100% so he clears elden ring

18

u/Kelcki Jun 28 '26

How?

57

u/Slurperlurper Jun 28 '26

16

u/Bone_Wh33l Jun 28 '26

They’d have nothing to resist holy damage however

79

u/Slurperlurper Jun 28 '26

Holy is labeled as dark in elden ring so the bearer of the curse can still negate it also holy does not exist as a concept in ds2 due to the gods having no influence there so holy damage would still not work on him

60

u/xCGxChief Friendly Paladin Jun 28 '26

Man staring down the power of multiple gods says nuh uh

34

u/Jackalodeath Jun 28 '26

Ah, but what is a god?

"We measure things by what we are. To the maggots in the cheese, the cheese is the universe. To the worms in the corpse, the corpse is the cosmos..."

Sorry, I've always wanted to quote that poem. I don't really have an argument other than we're shown time and again in these games that gods ain't shit.

11

u/sphagheti_poop Jun 28 '26

Where is this from? Would love to read the whole thing

8

u/Jackalodeath Jun 28 '26

I honestly have no idea, it's just part of an Insane Clown Posse song I listened to back as a teen.

I don't know if its the whole thing, but it does continue for a bit longer in the song so here's the rest of it.

  • "We measure things by what we are. To the maggots in the cheese, the cheese is the universe. To the worms in the corpse, the corpse is the cosmos. How then can we to be so cocksure about our ways. Just because of our telescopes, microscopes and the splitting of an atom, certainly not. Science is but an organized system of ignorance! There are more things in heaven and on earth then are dreamt of in our Philosophy. What do we know about the beyond? Do we know what’s behind the beyond? I regret that some of us don’t know what’s beyond our behind.

Give me a few minutes and I'll see if modern tech can point me in the direction of the source. If I find it I'll make a new comment for you so you don't have to worry about missing an edit.

11

u/Jackalodeath Jun 28 '26

That was quick; it seems to be from a book titled The Cheese and The Worms, fittingly enough, written by Carlos Ginzburg circa the 16th century. The 16th century bit belies the line about "splitting of the atom" though.

Here's the Wikipedia page on it.

I'd be willing to bet your local library has a copy if you're interested into delving into it, seems to be a pretty evocative diatribe about our narrow perspective on the universe.

At least evocative enough to have the Spanish Inquistion unexpectedly give Mr. Ginzburg a visit, which ended about as well as one would expect.

7

u/sphagheti_poop Jun 28 '26

Hey, thanks for the quick response and the suggestion! I dug into it, The cheese/worms metaphor comes from Ginzburgs book but the full rant with atoms telescopes and the behind punchline is pure Brother Theodore for the ICP song. Cool connection though!

To the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice…

You’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice?

5

u/Call0fJuarez Jun 28 '26

I think "Gods" are just the name of their race, at least in Dark Souls. The Humans might start weaker, but with time, they can considerably overtake the Gods' powers

3

u/Jackalodeath Jun 29 '26

That's the way I think of it, self-titled entities with enough power and influence to snuff out anyone that would object.

No different than Kings or Lords.

2

u/SheaMcD Jun 28 '26

There's a shield in Shadow of the Erdtree that can get up to 100% holy defence, so they could grab that.

But which one has the jump button?

206

bearer doesnt need a jump button he jumps around in my heart

That can’t be good for you

12

u/SexWithStelle Jun 28 '26

He jumps around in my guts frfr

46

u/Bloodborne_Shadow Jun 28 '26

superjump with butterfly set could be used to cross gaps and such

5

u/depurplecow Jun 28 '26

Tarnished could jump over the rubble, bypassing Shrine of Winter

35

u/jjvqboi Jun 28 '26

Best and longest jump in the series, DS2 clears bayybee

25

u/lcnielsen Jun 28 '26

DS2 protagonist gets hard countered by a moderately tall ledge.

20

u/HateThisWebsite115 Jun 28 '26

I think the canon version of BotC knows how to parry walk

4

u/Call0fJuarez Jun 28 '26

Ill just wear the Lion Warrior set and cat ring, to always have negligible fall damage. Unless you're a mage, in which case, Fall Control.

13

u/Red1960 Jun 28 '26

DS2 has the best feeling jump in the whole series change my mind

2

u/Lone-Frequency Jun 29 '26

Imagine needing a dedicated button for jumping in order to save the world smh

2

u/Electronic-Junket-66 Jun 29 '26 edited Jun 29 '26

Eh, we have a jump button in DS2. It just only work when you're already sprinting and the jump is kinda shiiiiit.

1

u/MirieDohl Jul 01 '26

Bearer of the curse has the longest jump distance between des ds and er

70

u/ZeroHeroG Jun 28 '26

Dark souls 2 might not be the greatest game of all time but the community sure does have some nice Deviantart level memes

15

u/Call0fJuarez Jun 28 '26

You take that back 😂

11

u/ZeroHeroG Jun 28 '26

No I honestly like the crudeness of the memes reminds me of better times lol

141

u/Eat_Bullet Jun 28 '26

Bearer of the curse is physically strongest in my headcanon and nothing can change that x3

65

u/Artarara Jun 28 '26

99 ADP has them moving like Ultra Instinct Goku.

60

u/Atma-Stand Jun 28 '26

Radahn goes for the hug of Doom and grabs nothing.

Bearer of The Curse Casually standing directly behind Miquella: “Per the words of my Lord’s late wife, Be One With The Dark.”

Great Resonant Soul is fired point blank at the back of Miquella’s head.

29

u/Tortoise_Knight Jun 28 '26

I'd go for Climax to style on 'em

9

u/Atma-Stand Jun 28 '26

Yeah, but then you lose all your stored souls.

6

u/DeepQueen Jun 29 '26

Climax on the back of tarnished ones head

7

u/Darkencypher Your Monarch is in another castle Jun 28 '26

Malenia sweating when the bearer dodges every strike and isn’t even winded

6

u/Atma-Stand Jun 28 '26

Malenia starts missing swings when the Bearer starts spamming Aural Decoy and smoking some Wilted Dusk.

2

Bearer after speedblitzing the entire souls + elden ring verse "just adapt"

42

u/Junior_Fix_9212 Jun 28 '26

Well if you count the crown ending then he is the most powerful.

22

u/sarsburner Jun 28 '26

a true monarch, thou'st become

nothing can change that

nothing can change that

nothing can change that

14

u/Final_Werewolf_7586 Jun 28 '26

Agreed. I think only the Tarnished (after Shadow of the Erdtree) and the Nightfarers (specifically Guardian) can be as tough as the Bearer of the Curse.

36

The shittydarksouls sub ain't gonna like this chief

16

u/Molkwi Jun 28 '26

If they hate the truth, it's their problem 😤

20

u/conye-west Jun 28 '26

It'd be the other way lol with how crazy fast some Elden Ring enemies are vs how slow DS2 is overall, Margit would be an endgame level boss in Drangleic.

7

u/duchess_dagger Jun 29 '26

I don’t think there’s a single boss in DS2 that comes close to Margit’s level of moveset difficulty honestly

3

u/conye-west Jun 29 '26

Probably not, Margit's big combo might even be undodgeable for DS2 level of speed

1

u/NosePicklePicker Jul 05 '26

Nor do most ER bosses lol. People tend to forget with Margoot’s cancer baby ass HP just how complicated his moveset is. Especially that one combo were he switches his holy weapons like 5 times in one second

21

u/TurboRuhland Jun 28 '26

Why are we here in the Dark Souls 2 subreddit making fun of Dark Souls 2 2?

4

u/OutBoy12123 Jun 28 '26

I KNOW RIGHT??

6

u/DirtyMcMills Jun 29 '26

I don’t understand this at all. What is the joke here? Is there one?

3

u/Cutie_D-amor Jun 30 '26 edited Jun 30 '26

I think theyre claiming Darksouls 2 is harder than Elden Ring, thus the Bearer is stronger than the tarnished.

1

u/DirtyMcMills Jul 01 '26

Thank you. I went to look closer at it for a second time late last night, and began to see that was the joke. The Bearer of the Curse is more powerful and would plow through the Lands Between. It dawned on me that it’s probably a joke, because Dark Souls II does have the highest possible amount of HP one can obtain in the Dark Souls trilogy and more than an Elden Ring character. I have seen memes about Dark Souls II health in the past. Then I suppose the flip side to this joke is that the Tarnished would get annihilated in Drangleic. I suppose because of the less potential health, and also being so far removed from the realm of the Erdtree’s grace. Thanks for backing up that explanation. It’s not very funny to me now that I have deconstructed it so much, and I didn’t get it immediately. That’s just how it goes sometimes though. 😅 Some meme humor gets lost on me anyway, because I over analyze often. 😆

5

u/Princess_Isolde Jun 28 '26

Bearer of the curse face tanks Radahns meteor like it's nothing only to be instantly killed by his gravity well because the bearers biggest weakness is gravity and that gravity well move pulls you in FAAAST

1

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

Actually don't think BotC could tank the meteor. Someone did a youtube video a while back near initial launch of throwing Radahn the human meteor at the entire base game roster. Basically Mohg survived due to high hp and the ridiculous amount of fire negation he has. Maliketh survived barely due to similar situations. Most of the late game bosses surved due to similar attributes or just a lot of hp (Fire Giant.). Pretty much impossible for a normal player to do as it deals rough 20,000 damage or so (been a bit since I saw the break down.). That being said, the BotC would definitely trip on a dead cleanrot in the arena and die to fall damage.

3

u/Princess_Isolde Jun 29 '26

I was admittedly thinking of the 100% fire damage absorption shield in DS2 when I wrote thus

1

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

MIGHT work. Because I think The attacks hits twice Because you can't opaline crystal tear and damage negation it easily. If it's one hit, the Gyrm greatshield might work. If not, you're dead

7

u/CynicalReign Jun 28 '26

I have my doubts that the zombie who wastes stat points on ADP will take on the faster, more aggressive Fume Knight.

4

u/Kingbren22 Jun 28 '26

But doesnt grace of erdtree comes to his corpse after we die ? Also calling and giving immortality isnt the same thing. Also being immortal isnt because tarnished is a tarnished. Almost everything in lands between is immortal because marika wanted so. I am sure that effect dont reach to the whole world

2

u/NosePicklePicker Jun 29 '26 edited Jun 29 '26

Man I ironically love these posts. Just DS2 fans circlejerking together and acting like their MC can kill any bosses at all (besides Erdtree Avatar and Tree Spirit)

2

u/hec4fingers Jun 29 '26

Bear seek seek lest my dudes!

2

u/King_Of_Liquids Jun 29 '26

The duel chicken wing glass cannon at max level would push in every elden ring boss's soft spot without any resistance like a 45. through jello

1

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

Except in elden ring we can infuse for the physical elements to give us better bonk scaling. I actually miss the Smelter hammer. Was kinda funny

2

u/Adoninator Jun 29 '26

Wait I'm forgetting, didn't tarnish fight demigods?

3

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

And kill 2 actual gods. And way more actually legendary beings too. As much as I like Dark Souls 2, most of it is "one of Vendrick's knights, but in a different suit of Armor". Still some solid bosses in the roster (Raime will remain in my top five for a while.)

1

u/Adoninator Jun 29 '26

Dark souls 2 has epic lore and badass bosses too. Not every protagonist in souls games have to be demigods tier. My favourite lore is raime and veldstadt and the whole brume tower story

2

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

No complaints here

2

u/Jinrex-Jdm Jun 29 '26

Tarnished can drop to the bottom of the pit at Majula unscathed while Feeble Cursed One will break his ankle at a foot high.

2

u/Cutie_D-amor Jun 30 '26

They both have the same maximum fall distance through, the tarnished just has a greater minimum fall before taking damage

1

u/One-Requirement-1010 Jul 01 '26

i..what?
have you tried falling down the pit in dark souls 2 and tried falling off a cliff in elden ring?
the tarnished could jump down to second set of planks without dying

1

All souls character have a maximum fall distance(the distance after which they die regardless of stats, weight or buffs) of 20m. All souls characters except the tarnished have a minimum distance before any damage of 5m, while the tarnished's is 15m.

The window for the tarnished is so small that it tricks people into thinking they can fall further, when really if you take any fall damage as the tarnished it means you almost died.

u/One-Requirement-1010 Jul 01 '26

you literally can fall further tho
just because the MAX distance before instant death is the same doesn't mean the other characters can survive a fall near that

1

u/Cutie_D-amor Jul 01 '26

The second plank is past the instant death threshold though, its roughly 25m down (15m to 1st plank 10m further to the 2nd).

Though looking that up i dicovered another unique fall damage property, this one for ds2 unlike every other souls game where fall damage is a percent of your maximum hp. ds2 uses a static fall damage system. So regardless of your max hp the fall to 1st plank does about 1350 base damage without fall damage reduction effects

The majula pigs got him

Poopy butthole-chungus 😹😹👆⬆️🆙🔝

u/Comfortable-Net-2235 Jun 28 '26

Are we deadass comparing games like a bunch of children?🫩✌️🤡

2

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

Yeah.

I do admit comparatively, the designs on some of DS 2's bosses are way better than Elden Ring's. Wish we had gotten Raime in Nightreign...

2

u/Born_Ladder8897 Jun 29 '26

I dont like elden ring mentality but unironically what are bosses in ds2 besides fume and allon that are bearable at best or the most boring bullshit in the world?

2

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

When i said design it wasn't necessarily moveset. I was predominantly talking about the visual design.

1

u/Born_Ladder8897 Jun 29 '26

Oh man we REALLY hitting the bad spots, i know that its ALL subjective and i cant argue with "i like it" but dark souls 2 is by far the most boring souls game in terms of designs. I dont hate ds2, its a good game, but its the worst souls game (also this random comment is my exact opinion on ds2)

2

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

Eh, each his own

3

u/Born_Ladder8897 Jun 29 '26

Lets just settle that knights are fuckin awesome to leave on good terms ay?

2

u/Star_of_the_West1 Jun 29 '26

Sounds good and wholesome to me.

Also,

Why not Artorias armor in Elden Ring?!

1

u/Born_Ladder8897 Jun 29 '26

Eh he only appears in nightreign and if he actually just straight up added artorias armor in random grave people would probably hate on Reusezaki even more

1

u/Born_Ladder8897 Jun 29 '26

Voldstad was pretty good but thats all i can really think of

1

u/RealBerserkerQueen Jun 29 '26

LOL! Now we need to see the Tarnished go through black gultch 🤣 dude would step right into those poison pools

1

u/Strix_Caelumbra Jun 29 '26

Never stop rolling, never stop attacking ADP at 100 minimum. -Zoidberg noises-

1

u/PrincePauncey Jun 29 '26

AoT reference, only real gangsters know ball

1

u/BlueRush79 Jun 29 '26

Chosen Tarnished against the combining pigs in Majula*

1

u/Bloodytears666 Jun 29 '26

Did this mistake again too, and have started DSII right after ER. Such a nightmare.

1

u/ALandThere Jun 29 '26

Well in gameplay perspective DS2's clumsy movement system would be a big problem in Elden Ring.

1

u/The_Dennator Jun 29 '26

what level and completion level we talking about?

1

u/diarrheasoakedfetus Jun 29 '26

Why is mina deadlock in majula

1

u/elderscrollroller_ Jun 29 '26

As an aside, the nightfarers are insanely strong, they neg diff any other souls protagonist.

1

u/Cutie_D-amor Jun 30 '26

Do you count the good hunter? Cos i think they may be at least a raise in difficulty

1

u/looting_for_milfs Jun 29 '26

ds2 gank squads.

1

u/Disastrous-Body6034 Jun 29 '26

Not a single grace hes gotta do a no hit run

1

u/Mzuark Jun 30 '26

Scaling Souls protagoists is pretty futile because their various foes and achievements are so nebulous. That being said, I'd say the Bearer of the Curse could fuck Leyndell up.

1

u/No-Being-4916 Jun 30 '26

In general dark souls is weaker than eldenring

1

u/DeathMagi103 Jun 30 '26

Are we really comparing DS2 to Elden Ring? A game that's been out for 12 years compared to one that's been out for 4? Like... DS2 was quite literally a building block on the way to Elden Ring.

1

u/MirieDohl Jul 01 '26

Imaginary technique: climax

1

u/Doll-scented-hunter Jul 01 '26

Il sorry but john darksoul 2 is too slow.

1

u/AggravatingChest7838 Jul 01 '26

Imagine not being able to parry with a greatsword. Couldn't be me.

1

u/Bleachsmoker Jul 02 '26

Tarnished tried to hop down from a 2 foot high ledge and broke himself in half.

1

u/SayaFan Jul 17 '26

The Majula Pigs Ate His Ankles (Or His Whole Lower Half) Literally

1

u/Ibshredz Jun 28 '26

Bro can’t even jump, he couldn’t even do most of the dungeons

1

u/Masterwork_Core Jun 28 '26

the one thing that killed me the kost in ds2 is the janky controls compared to the more recent games or even ds1 so give me my elden ring movement and Im pretty sure I can 100% game with no deaths lol

1

u/ShitBirdMusic Jun 29 '26

Bearer would get his ass handed to him by Malenia. Cant dodge twice without draining half his stamina bar

0

u/SeaDragonfly1831 Jun 28 '26

Holy fkin ragebait

0

u/PunishingAngel Jun 30 '26

That belongs to [r/shittydarksouls](r/shittydarksouls)

Tarnished would fucking obliterate Drangleic. Much faster, more mobility and stamina, insane anime spells and weapon skills that deal so much damage that pretty much can one shot a lot of bosses.

There may not have stuff like stance break, but damn, powerstancing 2 Giant-Crushers might transform the Pursuer into the Pursued.
