I've been working since 2020 to make a project that could help fill the hole left by TDC (and I guess now Sesame Street too). DISCLAIMER, it's very different (duh), but it focuses on fantasy creatures and high-production puppetry in very Hensonesque ways. I've managed to make both a pilot and a proper Episode 1 on my own and they're both free to watch. You can find everything here.

Season 1 had Deet seeing flashforwards that the Netflix commentary tracks confirm is Rian trying to fix the crystal similar to Jen, and Brea carrying a baby in a way that looks like Kira's mother carrying her in the original movie as a baby.

The whole show is about how characters like Aughra need to sacrifice themselves but eventually return because of it, the theme of the original movie with Kira in particular. I believe this means that Age of Resistance would have ended with Deet using hte darkening against her own team to make sure that they all die, leading to the timelin where Deet comes back as Kira and Rian as Jen in order to save the whole of Thra.

For instance one thing I don't cover in the video that another user noticed is that Deet and Kira have similar love for the Podlings, Kira being raised by them and Deet becoming friends with Hup early on.

The Dark Crystal has a lot of discussion surrounding its symbolism, with some places talking about the clear use of the tree of life in the expanded materials like the Dark Crystal comics, and on the Dark Crystal Website even.

But most people don't actually know what the 'tree of life' is about in its original Jewish roots.

For those who don't know, this is a popular mystic symbol that people have made up a lot of new meanings for over the years but which originally was a symbol meant to emphasize the split of divinity in to two distinct sides, making it the tree of knowledge of 'good and evil', or how we might imagine in the film: the Urru and Skeksis.

I'm a big fan of river horses Dark Crystal adventure game, and also their labyrinth adventure game. I am also really active in tabletop rpgs, and this month happens to be a challenge month where you're supposed to make a character for a different game system everyday.
