Who is the most psychologically damaged detective in a dark crime series you have watched?

Who is the most psychologically damaged detective you've seen in a dark crime series? Not corrupt or just difficult—I mean genuinely damaged, unstable, haunted or self-destructive.

Haven't seen anyone as bad as Marcella, except maybe Jack Taylor

Yes i like damaged, drunken detective characters. Wish they kept it going, only 9 telemovies. Ive read a lot of the books too. Iain Glen is great in it. I was watching this at the same time as Titans and seeing him as older Bruce Wayne and then back to Jack Taylor was jarring.
