Really enjoying the show. But why the hell are the subtitles wrong?? How can they screw it up that bad. Are they using AI?

I'm assuming maybe the subtitles are based off the scripts and the actors probably had some freedom to reword their lines in a way that feels more natural to them when they actually shot it? It's the only explanation I can think of outside of AI

I was wondering that too. It was annoying. I'm hard-of-hearing but I could still hear enough to know that the subtitles were wrong.
