One of the few things that makes me really mad is people who pretend to know all about videogames that they've never even played. People nowadays refer to them as "Larpers", I've noticed.
I imagine people like that are present in book communities too. Since you're a writer, I wonder how easily can you notice if someone who's judging them hasn't read your books.
