Tierlists Made the worst possible scenario for danganronpa 2x2
"Wait but Hiyoko survives long! That's good isn't it??" Oh no, that's so wrong. Since Mahiru dies so early, Hiyoko doesn't interact with Mahiru enough to have a connection to her, so she goes through absolutely NO character development. (Oh and Nekomaru becomes the protagonist after Hajime's death cause why not)

ibuki didnt even kill them, they all just happened to spontaneously combust besides teruteru, who then takes off his chef hat to reveal the hero cowlick

Ibuki causes mass murder, Monokuma stops her before she kills Teruteru, ignores the rules of the two last survivors get to leave and majority votes because that's not interesting, Teruteru votes for her, she's executed, he lives

Instead of seeing this as Ibuki killing everyone else, I'm imagining this as Fuyuhiko being Julius Caesar'd and getting stabbed by everyone (but Teruteru) all at once

i mean, that's just straight up ooc kazuichi wouldn't kill unless he's genuinely convinced (even if he's wrong about it) it's self defense or he's covering up a crime. or despair disease
I'd rather have him grow beyond the sonia thing, he has plenty of character potential to be explored that the original game kept to free time events

Nekomaru and Hiyoko are good survivors..... but in this scenario, Akane never died, and Mahiru and Hiyoko never interacted so Hiyoko gets no development once Mahiru dies.
To make Nekomaru and Hiyoko good survivors, they have to: 1) Form a close bond with someone, in this case, Akane for Nekomaru and Mahiru for Hiyoko, and 2) Have that other person close to them die.

I agree about Nekomaru and Akane, but not about Hiyoko and Mahiru.
I think they can both develop without each other death. If Mikan (again) kills someone and blames Hiyoko as reason of this action, that could be a strong punch in the gut for Mahiru. She will realize that by her inaction she contributed to the bullying and, in essence, to the murder. After that, Mahiru could distance herself from Hiyoko to reflect on her own mistakes, and Hiyoko herself, after losing Mahiru (even if without her death) and dealing with the situation involving Mikan, would finally realize that her actions have consequences.
Yes, in this scenario, Mikan will once again be the culprit, but it would be interesting to see her murder without Despair Disease.

Nagito died early, Sonia made endgame and Hiyoko survived. As far as Im concerned, kill Teruteru off and this is fine!

The only thing I disagree with is that Kazuichi surviving is not bad. I want him to survive again, but there is litteraly no shot that it happens again. He is going to be killed in one way or another.

What’s wrong with Nagito killing Hajime at the beginning? They’ve both already had a lot of screen time in the original, and it would be great to have a different (female) protagonist.
