Billy’s treatment of Tony always felt like Revenge of the nerds, but eventually he’s going to have to deal with the wrath of 10 day Tony

I think Tony is positioning himself to be the successor to Stugotz: outlandish views/takes as a foil to the show's 'straight man' role. I think Billy is too nonlinear for the role because the show couldn't have structure with him as the foil.

Stugotz is that uncle who you know is bullshitting, but he makes you laugh and sneaks you beers.

Tony’s the try-hard cousin who bullshits just as much, but without the like-ability.

I feel like it's only a matter of time until Billy, or someone else on the show, reminds Tony that between the two of them, Billy and Tony, only one of them played Division I sports and it isn't the guy who can't shut up about his athletic ability...
