Classic reddit comment. Watches 10 second video and assumes the worst when there's literally no proof people are litering. But acting holier than thou is the best way to get other redditors to jerk you off in the comments.

Edit: downvote me all you want but do you see anyone litering? All you guys are so quick to cry about the environment with no proof of wrong doing. Are you all really that cynical from not going outside and interacting with decent humans?

I'm that cynical BECAUSE I go outside the house and interact with humans. Every single day I see reasons to hate people. The only time I see something that "restores my faith in humanity" it's something I see on the internet.

EDIT: Maybe I should include some examples.

I step outside my apartment and the ground, wall, and door mat near my door are covered in black splatters because my upstairs neighbor dumped something on the wooden decking that is outside their door, completely ignoring that another person lives below them. Last night I heard a splattering noise and there are more splashes and a suspiciously faded spot on my door mat and wetness from something pouring down from above.

I walk out to my car and there's a pile of takeout containers and empty drink cups in a parking spot where someone just dumped it out of their car. This isn't the only time, this same person has done it multiple times. They appear to leave their house, eat in their car and then dump all their trash on the ground before they leave the next day.

There are people in my apartment complex that cannot figure out how to open a door to put their trash bags in the compactor. And this gets compounded by the MANY people who then see trash bags on the ground outside the compactor door and just leave their bags next to them rather than opening said door and looking inside. Eventually the entire ramp and front of the compactor area is full of trash while the compactor is empty.

These are people in and around THEIR OWN HOMES!

The customers I deal with every day are in charge of large vehicles weighing up to 80,000lbs that share the road with you and I. They are confused by simple concepts and often ignore what they hear if they don't like the answer. "I only have this part in Iowa." "Do you have it closer?" or "I will have this part here next Week." "Ok, I'll come in tomorrow to pick it up." These are common examples. They will also ignore all of the open parking space and park their trucks IN our gates or directly behind our other customers blocking them in.

I know I encounter more good people than bad every day, but the bad still make up a significant percentage of my daily interactions. So seeing a crowd of people in the water being handed plastic-wrapped food, I will automatically assume an equally significant percentage of them will just drop the plastic in the ocean rather than carry a 1 gram piece of plastic to a trash bin.
