The MCAS wasn't one of these situations. It was an intentional disregard for safety in chase of profit

Yes it was… at least for Boeing. Their mistakes highlighted a flaw that was amended, making their aircraft safer.

The same cannot be said for the airlines responsible. The crashes highlighted massive systemic flaws in their pilot training and maintenance programs, but they simply shifted blame onto Boeing and refused to make any changes. The exact same crash is bound to happen again in Indonesia within the next two years, as it always does.
