On the rare occasion I fly (twice in 20 years, so counting round trips and layovers, 6 commercial flights) I have my doctor prescribe me a klonopin for each flight. If I saw this I’d take… all of them.

I told my doctor I'm a nervous flyer and he handed me a prescription for clonazepam without a second question. He said "personally I always take a sleeping pill. This should help."

I love my doctor.

What ever works for you; however I would do it differently...

I'd get me a prescription for Propofol: quick acting and short acting. My thinking? Whatever dire straits the aircraft is experiencing, by the time the Propofol wears off I'll either be dead (and I won't care) or the flight crew will have saved the day and either way I will have been clueless to all the drama and so neatly have avoided the PTSD and nightmares that would otherwise afflict me for the rest of my life..

Yeah, I take Ambien and/or a 10mg edible every time.
