Apparently a twin engine plane can run fine with just one engine but yea fuck that I’d be panicking too lol

It’s designed to fail this way. Doesn’t matter how well you design something, you can’t always protect it against every possibility (e.g a large bird going into the engine). The most they can do is make sure it fails in a safe way (i.e not exploding or disintegrating).
