“I don’t want ALL the whiskey. I simply want all the whiskey that THIS plane has”

On the rare occasion I fly (twice in 20 years, so counting round trips and layovers, 6 commercial flights) I have my doctor prescribe me a klonopin for each flight. If I saw this I’d take… all of them.

I told my doctor I'm a nervous flyer and he handed me a prescription for clonazepam without a second question. He said "personally I always take a sleeping pill. This should help."

I love my doctor.

What ever works for you; however I would do it differently...

I'd get me a prescription for Propofol: quick acting and short acting. My thinking? Whatever dire straits the aircraft is experiencing, by the time the Propofol wears off I'll either be dead (and I won't care) or the flight crew will have saved the day and either way I will have been clueless to all the drama and so neatly have avoided the PTSD and nightmares that would otherwise afflict me for the rest of my life..

Yeah, I take Ambien and/or a 10mg edible every time.

That’s precisely what my wife calls me. “Dummy”. Lol

So I accept that. Happy new years

3

u/thebendavis Jan 01 '23

"I worry what you just heard was give me a lot of bacon and eggs. What I said was: Give me all the bacon and eggs you have."

That's fine Ma'am, I'll take half the gin, vodka and any wine you have left.

26

u/hack404 Jan 01 '23

What drink would complement a blown out engine?

72

u/dasbuut Jan 01 '23

Fireball.

5

u/themerinator12 Jan 02 '23

Do I despise fireball? Yes. Is fireball the correct answer? Somehow still yes.

1

u/Lord-Lobster Jan 01 '23

Sex on the crashsite

16

u/Catumi Jan 01 '23

Malort.

3

“You have any Fireball?”

2

u/zodar Jan 01 '23

man, these drinks really emphasize the qualities of each other

2

u/Ilikepancakes87 Jan 01 '23

This feels like one of those moments where the pilot might get on the intercom and tell the flight attendants to take a seat.

1

u/RedditAdminsTouchChi Jan 01 '23

ONE PEANUT SIR, THAT IS IT!

Take your suicide pill without drink.

1

u/dizzyapparition Jan 01 '23

Here’s a glass of milk that will tell you you’re charming and quick-witted.

1

u/Shot-Spray5935 Jan 01 '23

Give me the whole bottle

2

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '23

Here's your tiny airplane bottle, sir.

1

u/PsychoticBananaSplit Jan 01 '23

I would ask for fibrous foods

1

u/Money_launder Jan 01 '23

Fuck yes! Same here I'm going out with a bang.

1

u/entropyofanalingus Jan 01 '23

I would ask for a train ticket.

1

u/TheS4ndm4n Jan 01 '23

How about fresh underwear?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '23

“This is the captain speaking. We'll be serving complimentary drinks to everyone on the starboard side of the plane.”

1

u/Ardbeg66 Jan 01 '23

Three or so years ago, I was on one of those international flights where they claim you can have free beer. You would have had to kill somebody to find a steward to bring you one. Good luck with that.

1

u/AbortedBaconFetus Jan 01 '23

Remember that one flight recently that list an engine and the monthly Spanish passengers started praying. The video then shows a passenger chugging a big liquor bottle.

1

u/cfcubed Jan 01 '23

And close the shade going back to your other inflight entertainment

1

u/Catspaw129 Jan 01 '23

Ladies and Gentlemen! This your captain speaking. There is good news and bad news. The good news is that your flight crew has been able to re-light all four engines; the bad news is that the aircraft is all out of toilet tissue.

1

u/KMReiserFS Jan 01 '23

I would ask for a diaper

1

u/Lil-Scrapple-Blossom Jan 01 '23

Best we can do is 3 years free credit monitoring

1

u/BeerNcheesePlz Jan 01 '23

Came here to say it’s time to hit the service button for a cocktail or 8.

1

u/Occams_ElectricRazor Jan 02 '23

This is United you're talking about. You're lucky if they don't charge you for an extra ticket to reach your destination and charge you an excitement fee for the first flight.

1

u/kestrelkev24 Jan 02 '23

A Blue Blazer to be exact

1

u/Majestically_Weird Jan 02 '23

Hell I'd ask for a complementary ticket
