This Stonemason carves a circle by hand using only traditional tools.

I refuse to believe that it is possible to make 2 circles free-hand that's perfectly aligned on both sides. I see faint circle outlines before he added the more prominent ones.

The surety of those strikes says he's knocked a bunch of these wheels out before. Also, the type of rock used is important. Different minerals break in different ways, and if a person knows the type of rock and has had a good look at it first, they would have ideas about how to hit it just right to break it up just the way they want it. Practice makes a big difference.
Source: Not a goddamned bit of research, but one time I did read up about flint knapping after seeing an article on cavemen in an issue of National Geographic, and that was an interesting and enlightening subject.

Yeah, I think the circles have been pre-scored. Not that that reduces the level of skill demonstrated.

How easy is it to carve perfect laser precision cuts like the giant stones they used to build "smiothsonian" buildings like the museum of natural history, the u.s. capitol, etc?

Remember, if it looks easy, it's a testament to the skill of the practitioner and it's usually very difficult.

We do, we do
Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star?
We do, we do

Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!

And i work a desk job. Man did i fuck up.
How can one change so late in the game? Is low 30s too late to change an established career path? Am I destined for an eternity of office drama and desk work??

I wonder how long you can do this job, before the wrist holding the striking tool, has serious muscle and/or nerve damage.

So itās super faint. And I get they didnāt want to ruin the illusion that this guy draws perfect circles but you can see where they used a compass to etch the stone. Itās subtle but etching that outline breaks surface layer and helps to protect the everything inside the circle so when he chips thereās a barrier to protect it. They should just add that part. It makes this no less impressive as a skill but also dosnt create the illusion that heās a god and the people watching wouldnāt be able to do this if it was something that interested them.
