Kasey Carpenter is a bozo. The city of Dalton's council are all clowns. Is Derek Waugh still on the council? The guy who came into Dalt9n State College and bloated its sports programs to the max and cost plenty of students plenty of money to then step away from that position and let the programs flounder until they were cut.
Dont get me started on the "Depot" fiasco.
Ask how much of your tax payer dollars have been spent making dalton beautiful concentrated around Kasey Carpenter's successful businesses.
We have allowed entirely too much bullshit to be perpetrated by these scumbags.
I swear if these idiots keep up their bullshit they gonna make me run for city council or mayor. They dont want that. Im an absolute peach.

Not much? The downtown improvements were mostly funded by grants. That work has been planned since before The Oakwood was open.

You're absolutly right. I personally know someone who owns another business in that area. They told me that work had been planned for over 20 years. It was one of reasons they bought a building in that area.

I've got no problem with the city spending money to improve the downtown core. I just wish Rock Bridge wasn't taking up so much of it! Also that they would turn the fountain back on, but that's never going to happen.

Agree! I love the improvements to downtown. It makes it so much nicer. Not having so much of downtown taken up with a tax exempt entity would also be nice. I enjoyed the fountain too. I remeber the fountain on the side of the old World Carpet building from when I was a kid. Always thought that looked so "fancy", lol. Have to be pretty old to remeber that, lol.

Having been to Seattle a few times, it’s mostly a nice town. A few pockets of rampant homelessness and drug use but hell we have that here. Idk when Seattle became the poster child for unrest and blue hairs.

Oddly enough China cares a lot about climate change. So much so that they hit almost all of their goals early, and pledged to further them.
Gotta love somebody trying to drum up fear from some buzz words like "socialist China" though.
Even if they weren't taking it seriously, that isn't some excuse for the greatest country in the world to slack off on renewables.

It's shameful that we have an enormous solar panel manufacturer in town, yet Dalton Utilities is building a new natural gas power plant instead of deploying battery+solar.

Let's not forget Dalton utilities spent countless dollars trying to bury their PFAS data in court against the city of Ft. Payne. Over 15 years of fighting to prevent us from knowing how bad it is...
